His proper name has been given as Colonel Tex O'Hara and also Richard O'Hara, though he is not frequently referred to by a name.

The Rich Texan's first appearance on the show is in the episode "$pringfield (Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)", the fifth season episode that sees a casino open in Springfield.

Elmer Fudd is a main nemesis of Bugs Bunny in Looney Tunes cartoons. He is a hunter who is usually trying to kill Bugs. His speech impediment is one of his most identifiable character traits; he has trouble pronouncing Ls and Rs, which is why he says he is hunting "wabbits".

The origins of the character is disputed, but he first emerged as this final Elmer Fudd character in 1940 short called "Elmer's Candid Camera", in which he is voiced by Arthur Q. Bryan.

Lara Croft, from the "Tomb Raider" franchise of video games, is an aristocrat-turned-archaeologist. She first appeared in the first "Tomb Raider" game in 1996 and has since appeared in more video games, as well as in other media. Actress Angelina Jolie played Lara Croft in two major motion pictures, "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) and "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" (2003).

In the films, Lara was essentially the same character as in the video games, but with some slight differences in the character's background story (and of course, different plots and adventures than in the games).

Will Smith starred as Agent J in the 1997 movie "Men in Black", alongside Tommy Lee Jones as Agent K. They worked for a top secret organization that dealt with aliens being disguised as humans on Earth. Their line of work required various guns. When Agent J became part of the organization, he was given an extremely tiny, but powerful, gun called the Noisy Cricket.

Mr. Freeze, a.k.a. Dr. Victor Fries, used a freeze gun, his own invention, to freeze people (often Batman). Mr. Freeze originated in the DC Comics "Batman" series and was featured in several episodes of the 1960s TV series starring Adam West. Eli Wallach, Otto Preminger and George Sanders all played Mr. Freeze in the series.

The character was also in the 1990s series, "Batman: The Animated Series". He was also one of the main villains in the 1997 film "Batman & Robin", in which he was portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

G.I. Joe, rather than being just one guy, is a line of military-themed action figures made by the Hasbro company. The original four action figures created in the 1960s were a soldier, a sailor, a pilot and a marine, who had individual names until the generic G.I. Joe name became more popular. G.I. Joe has featured in different media, including comic books, video games, a 1980s animated TV series and a 2009 Hollywood live action film, the first of a series, called "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra".

"The Quick Draw McGraw Show", a Western-themed show produced by Hanna-Barbera, aired for three seasons starting in 1959. Daws Butler voiced Quick Draw, the anthropomorphized horse who dressed as a Western sheriff. His sidekick was Baba Looey, a burro. Each episode of the show featured three short cartoon segments; one with Quick Draw, one with a dog named Augie Doggie and one with a cat-and-mouse team named Snooper and Blabber. Several characters in all three segments were voiced by Butler as well.

Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford in the original "Star Wars" trilogy of the 1970s and early '80s, carried a pistol that was based on the real-life Mauser C96. Han's Wookie pal Chewbacca carried a bowcaster (like a crossbow). As Han Solo was not a Jedi, he did not use a lightsaber.
