Answer: Cat

Horse was a particularly big nasty cat whose mother was an alley cat with an eye patch and a hook instead of a front paw. His father is reputed to be a barracuda. Not quite sure how that one works. Horse was feared by all the other animals and humans except Aunt Dolly and Cooch. Murray Ball based the comics loosely on his own life and animals on his New Zealand, West Coast farm.

Answer: Giant weta

The giant weta is a endemic insect native to New Zealand and are the heaviest breed of grasshopper on earth. Giant weta can grow up to 20cm long the male slightly larger than the female. While not venomous or fatal they can inflict a painful bite. The author knows this through first hand experience.

Bruce was constantly breaking down meaning the budget for Jaws was well over what was expected because it took a lot longer to film. Ironically Bruce is a common name in Australia, a place notorious for more fatal shark attacks than any other country.

After surviving a plane crash caused by bird strike, three survivors find themselves in a remote wilderness in Alaska. While trying to make their way back to civilisation they encounter a huge Kodiak bear which pursues them, killing one of them. The Bear was Bart the bear who has appeared in several movies.

He was euthanized in 2000 for a recurring cancer in his paw for which he refused pain medication.

Avondale is a suburb of New Zealand's largest city Auckland. The movie used 374 Avondale spiders due to their size, social nature and because they are harmless. They were guided through the set with heat and cold. The Queen and the General spider were articulated models.

Answer: Aliens

Jonesy was a ginger cat from the first "Alien" movie which makes a brief appearance in the second movie when Ripley has nightmare of being impregnated by an alien. Sigourney Weaver appears in two other sequels but only has a cat called Jonesy in two.

In sled teams in Antarctica, a team of eight normally would consist of Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. The Huskies are used for their intelligence and ability to work in extreme cold well. The Malamutes are slightly larger than Huskies and aren't used for their brains, but their brawn.

Answer: RJ the racoon

Bruce Willis provided the voice for the lead role of RJ who helps out a group of small wild creatures to get food from humans when they are cut off by an impenetrable hedge. It turns out RJ is actually using them to get food to replace all the food he stole from a very hungry and angry bear voiced by Nick Nolte. Hammy the squirrel was voiced by Steve Carell and Verne by Gary Shandling.

The beast in "The Relic" is best described as a Chimera. A Chimera is a creature made up of disparate parts of different animals. The creature had reptilian and insectoid DNA when tested by the scientist in the film. The creature, after killing many people is finally destroyed by explosive fire.
10. In the movie adaptation of "One For The Money" a novel by Janet Evanovich, what type of animal was Rex?

Answer: Rodent

Rex was the pet Hamster of the main character Stephanie Plum. Never having stable relationships with anyone apart from her family in the first novel of the series, Rex is the most important thing in her life.
