John Grogan was born in America in 1957 and spent over 20 years as a journalist before writing his famous book "Marley and Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog." The book is a memoir about his life with the family's boisterous but lovable pet dog.

Marley died at age 13 in 2003 and Grogan wrote and published an article about him which led to a massive response from his readers wanting to know more. The book was then written in 2004 and published the year after. It was an international bestseller and won many awards for Grogan.

The answer refers to Bob Marley the famous Jamaican reggae singer.

"Watchers" is a 1987 novel by Koontz which has become one of his biggest bestsellers. The plot involves a government project producing two genetically altered animals. The dog isn't changed physically but has developed an enhanced intelligence. The other is referred to as 'the Outsider' and has been created from a multitude of animals to be a formidable weapon. Both escape from the laboratory as the story begins.

The dog is found by Travis Cornell who names him Einstein once he realises his unusual intelligence. They both befriend a lady named Nora Devon at the park and the trio ends up on the run from the FBI, an assassin hired by the soviets and the Outsider who wants to kill the dog.

The question refers to Albert Einstein the famous German physicist who gave us E = mc2.

He appeared in 103 cartoons where he was usually chasing Tweety Bird (Granny's yellow canary), Speedy Gonzales (A Mexican mouse) or Hippety Hopper (a young kangaroo).

In the TV Guide's list of the top fifty best cartoon characters he reached number 33 and his cartoons won three Academy Awards. His trademark lisp was voiced by the famous voice actor Mel Blanc.

The man in question is American actor Sylvester Stallone who appeared in four movies as John Rambo.

Walt leaves the island but Vincent remains and appears on and off throughout the series and is present during many of the shows weird happenings. He is shown by Jack's side when he dies in the final episode.

Heathcliff is a comic strip that was created in 1973 by George Gately about the mischievous cat and the inhabitants, animal and human, of a port called Westfinster. It is currently in syndication to over 1000 newspapers now written by his nephew Peter Gallagher.

Two TV series, both also just called "Heathcliff", were produced in 1980 and 1984 respectively and were both voiced by Mel Blanc. 1985 saw the beginning of the comic books that would run for 56 issues and finally a movie was released in 1986.

The book in question "Wuthering Heights" is Emily Bronte's only novel. Published in 1847 it introduces the reader to the tortured Heathcliff who destroys himself and all those he comes in contact with.

The book was illustrated and opinion was divided as to whether it was a Cairn terrier or a Yorkshire terrier.

The movie adaptation chose to portray him as a Cairn terrier and he was played by a female brindle named Terry. Terry received $125 a week for the part which is more than many of the actors on the film.

Toto is an American band that released the song "Africa" in 1982 - the bands only number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" premiered in 1996 and ran for 7 seasons. It is loosely based on the 1962 Archie comic series of the same name. Melissa Joan Hart plays the part of Sabrina Spellman who discovers that she has magical powers on her 16th birthday. She lives with her aunts and their cat Salem.

Salem is a former witch himself but was punished by the witch's council to spend a century as a cat for attempting to take over the world. He is known for giving Sabrina bad advice and encouraging her to use magic to solve her problems which always ends up with her being in more trouble than the in beginning.

The famous trials in question were, of course, the Salem Witch Trials that ran from Feb 1692 to May 1693. The trials were actually held in four different towns and resulted in the death of 25 people.
