The old Aladdin was imploded in April 1998 to make room for a new Aladdin, which opened 8-18-00. Elvis married Priscilla in the old Aladdin casino on 5-2-67. This casino was renamed to Planet Hollywood Resort on 4-17-07 and the desert features on the front of the property were replaced with a more modern look.

Bally's was originally named MGM Grand. After a big fire there in 1980, the name was changed to Bally's Grand, and then just Bally's. The Bonanza had been imploded in 1970 to make way for the old MGM Grand. The current MGM Grand opened 12-18-93 and is located at Tropicana and the Strip.
