Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Sabu is one of the first people to use a table to his advantage. Which one these individuals trained him?

Answer: The Original Sheik

The Original Sheik is Sabu's uncle and trained both him and Rob Van Dam. Sabu is known for his high flying manuevers and hardcore style. He can wrestle any style depending on who he is wrestling. One of his most brutal matches was against Terry Funk in "Extreme Championship Wrestling".

They had a Barb Wire Match and it was even too extreme for that company. It resulted in Sabu having a gash in his arm. He continued to wrestle even after that. The match ended when Sabu pinned Funk. They both got tangled in barb wire.

They couldn't even move. Sabu was able to break free from some of the barb wire and was able to pin Funk. It was very disturbing.
2. Abdullah the Butcher is another hardcore veteran. Abdullah and The Sheik both invented the name Hardcore in wrestling. Which weapon does Abdullah carry in his pants?

Answer: A Fork

He will use any object that he can, but his signature weapon is a simple fork. Abdullah has been wrestling since before even the Undertaker was even born. He has been in many bloody battles with everyone from Dusty Rhodes to Kevin Sullivan. His scars in his head are so deep that he can actually put pennies in them and they will not move.

He mentioned that in an interview. He was said to be a very nice person outside the ring according to Mick Foley. Mick Foley stated in his first autobiography that Abdullah was traveling with Foley and his wife to a match. Abdullah was said to have held in a fart for over 2 hours as he did not want to offend Foley's wife.

It may not be a big deal but that was nice.
3. Fritz Von Erich was another hardcore wrestler. He was the father and head of the Von Erich Family. How many sons did he have?

Answer: 6

Five of his six sons who were all wrestlers. The oldest brother died when he was nine. He was known for his hardcore style and brawling style. He never really had a technical side in wrestling. He outlived 5 out of 6 sons. The oldest son Jack died before some of the other brothers were born.

He was never a wrestler. David passed away due to an intestinal infection. Chris and Kerry both shot themselves. Michael was forced to quit wrestling and fell into a depression. He overdosed on pain killers. Kevin is the last surviving brother.

He had to deal with the deaths of all of his brothers and his father.
4. King Kong Bundy got his first Heavyweight title match against who?

Answer: Hulk Hogan

The first World Wrestling Heavyweight title defense at a "Wrestlemania" was at the second event. It had Hulk Hogan and Bundy in a Steel Cage Match. Hogan won that match. Bundy never held any major titles. He held a record for shortest match at a "Wrestlemania" where he beat Special Delivery Jones in 9 seconds.

He was a part of Million Dollar Man's Corporation in 1994. He wrestles on the independent circuit.
5. Superfly, Jimmy Snuka, made a name for himself by jumping off a steel cage onto Don Muraco. This was NOT his first time jumping off the cage. Who was the first guy he attempted this move on?

Answer: Bob Backlund

It was in 1978 that this took place. Superfly attempted to land on him but Backlund moved out of the way. Superfly is also the uncle of the Rock. He is part of the huge Samoan family that was a part of World Wrestling Entertainment. Members included Rikishi, Yokozuna, The Rock, Afa, Sika, and Samu. Superly would always throw the, "I Love You" sign with his fingers before he ever jumped from the top rope or cage.

This was his way of telling us fans that he loved us and thank you.
6. George "The Animal" Steele was an active wrestler in the 1980s for World Wrestling Federation. He eventually got a mascot to accompany him. It was more of a stuffed animal. What was its name?

Answer: Mine

The name of his mascot was Mine. Since it was his mascot he decided to name it Mine which meant it was his, not ours. He never held any major titles and barely ever won a match. He would always tear into turnbuckles and throw the stuffings out at his opponents. His main feud was with Macho Man Randy Savage. He loved Elizabeth and both were fighting over her.
7. Mil Mascaras had been wrestling for years and years. Did he ever appear in "World Wrestling Entertainment"?

Answer: Yes

He appeared at the 1997 "Royal Rumble" a long side fellow Mexican wrestlers Latin Lover, Hector Garza, and Heavy Metal. There were many other superstars there as well. He has wrestled many big names such as both Dory and Terry Funk and Billy Graham. His name means "Man of a 1,000 Masks". He never wore the same mask twice in a row.
8. Chris Benoit has been wrestling close to two decades already. One of his nicknames is, The Crippler. Who did he wrestle to get this name?

Answer: Sabu

He wrestled Sabu when both were a part of "Extreme Championship Wrestling". Benoit was attempting a move when he dropped Sabu on his head breaking Sabu's neck. They gave him, The Crippler, because of that move. He has wrestled in Japan as Pegasus Kid and in World Championship Wrestling where he is a former Heavyweight Champion.
9. Bret Hart feuded with his younger brother for over a year and a half. They had a few words here and there but didn't wrestle against each other until which event?

Answer: Wrestlemania X

It was the opening match in which Owen defeated him in a fair match. Bret Hart wrestled for his father's company, Canadian Stampede Wrestling, when he first started out. He has wrestled in tag matches with his brothers Keith, Bruce and Owen. He is a former Heavyweight Champion for both, World Wrestling Entertainment and World Championship Wrestling.

In a match with Goldberg he was kicked in the head and suffered a concussion. He has made a few appearances at different events but has not wrestled. Due to the injury he is unable to wrestle.

But of course when it comes to wrestling, never say never.
10. Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestler's in the history of the business. He has gotten many nicknames as well. Which one of these is NOT one of his nicknames?

Answer: The Excellence of Execution

"Excellence of Execution" was a name given to Bret Hart. When people thought of the World Wrestling Federation back in the old days they thought of Hulk Hogan. When they thought of World Championship Wrestling they thought of Ric Flair. Ric Flair was a member of the Four Horsemen which consisted of Arn and Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. That was the original group managed by J.J Dillon.

Other future members were Brian Pillman, Steve McMichael, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Jeff Jarrett. So there you have it.
