Forever a pacifier-sucking toddler, Margaret Evelyn Simpson, aka Maggie, was the youngest of the three Simpson children on the long-running cartoon TV series. Maggie rarely talked and thus was not much more than a background character on the show, but she did have one shining moment in the finale of the sixth season in 1995: she shot Mr. Burns for trying to steal candy from a baby.

She had been sold to an elderly woman who was on the verge of having her farm repossessed by the bank. Maggie convinced fellow cows Grace (Jennifer Tilly) and Mrs Caloway (Judi Dench) to become bounty hunters to get reward money that could be used to pay off the farm debt.

Maggie was in a fiery and lonely marriage to the alcoholic Brick (Paul Newman) who spent much of the time trying to avoid her while she desperately wanted a baby.
