1. Mike George was the first co-holder of the Mid-South Tag Team Championship. Who was his partner?

Answer: Bobby Sweetan

Sweetan and George won the titles on September 28th, 1979. They won the titles in a battle royale. George and Sweetan held the titles less than two months. They were defeated by Bill Watts and Buck Robley. George went on to hold the titles a second time in 1981. His partner this go around was the Junkyard Dog.
2. "The Rat Pack" consisted of three wrestlers. Ted DiBiase and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan were two of the members. Who was the third member of the team?

Answer: Matt Borne

Ted DiBiase and Matt Borne defeated the Junkyard Dog and Mr. Olympia in Shreveport, Louisiana. The two teams feuded over the titles. Borne and DiBiase held onto the straps until March of 1983. They lost to the team of Mr. Wrestling II and Tiger Conway Jr.
3. What happened that caused Magnum T.A. and Mr. Wrestling II to lose the tag team titles?

Answer: Mr. Wrestling II left the match.

"The Midnight Express" was compromised of Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey. They defeated Magnum and Wrestling II in March of 1984. The pair were able to overcome Magnum when his partner left the bout. After Magnum had lost; he was required to receive five lashes from "The Midnight Express". Condrey and Eaton both got to give two lashes with Cornette receiving one. Terry Taylor ran into the ring and took the five lashes intended for Mr. Wrestling II.
4. "The Rock 'n Roll Express" held the titles on three separate occasions. What team ended Ricky and Robert's third reign as champions?

Answer: "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase

"The Rock 'n Roll Express" are arguably one of the most successful duos to grace the squared circle. Their feud with "The Midnight Express" was legendary in my opinion. I always favored Dennis and Bobby however. DiBiase and Williams held the titles until May of 1985.

They defeated Robert and Ricky in Houston, Texas. Williams and DiBiase held onto the tag straps until August of 1985. DiBiase was not involved in the title lose however. Bobby Sweetan was substituting for DiBiase that night they lost. Wendell Cooley and Al Perez were the victors that night.

"JYD" held the title with six different partners during his tenure at Mid-South Championship Wrestling. He along with his partner, "Dirty" Dick Murdoch are tied for the most title reigns with "The Rock 'n Roll Express". The Junkyard Dog along with Ted DiBiase are among the most successful men to come out of the territory. Both "JYD" and DiBiase held the North American Heavyweight Title on four occasions.

Tim Horner and Brad Armstrong made up "The Lightning Express". Their victory for the titles came over the team of Sting and Rick Steiner. Steiner and Sting were much larger and stronger than Horner and Armstrong. "The Lightning Express" relied on speed and agility to win their bouts. Armstrong and Horner held the titles one hundred and sixty two days before losing them to "The Sheepherders".
7. Terry Taylor had great success in Mid-South Wrestling. What two men did he hold the tag team titles with?

Answer: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and "Gentleman" Chris Adams

Besides holding the tag straps two different times, Terry was also the North American Heavyweight Champion. In addition to that he held the Television Title twice. Taylor and Duggan won the tag titles in December of 1986. They had to vacate the titles when Duggan lost a loser leaves town match. Taylor would have his second reign with Chris Adams end at the hands of Sting and Rick Steiner.
8. Mid-South changed it's name to the UWF to make it have more of a feel of a larger territory. Who was the first team to win the newly renamed titles?

Answer: The Sheepherders

UWF became the new name of the territory in 1986. "The Sheepherders" Butch Miller and Luke Williams were the first to win the newly named titles. They successfully defended the titles until losing to Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton. The two teams had feuded in several different territories and there bouts were always bloody. "The Sheepherders" reign lasted two weeks.
9. What team defeated "The Fantastics" to end their second and final reign as tag team champions?

Answer: "Hollywood" John Tatum and Jack Victory

"The Fantastics" much like "The Lightning Express" relied on speed and agility to win bouts. Their second reigned ended a day short of a month. They were bested by the team of John Tatum and Jack Victory. Victory would later go on to be the flag bearer for "The Sheepherders".
10. Ted DiBiase and Steve Williams were the last team to hold the titles before they were renamed. In what state did they defeat Eddie Gilbert and The Nightmare?

Answer: Mississippi

DiBiase and Williams defeated The Nightmare and Gilbert the day after Christmas 1985. This was DiBiase's fifth and final reign. It was the second time the duo held the titles together. Mid-South was purchased by Jim Crockett and stayed open for another year. The federation was closed in 1987.
