Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where did Vic's parents work?

Answer: S.T.A.R. Labs

Founded by a scientist named Garrison Slate, the Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories have employed many people over the years. Besides Vic's parents, Professor Hamilton, Murray Takamoto, and Kitty Faulkener have also worked there. S.T.A.R. Labs made its first appearance in "Superman" #246, which went on sale in 1971.
2. Who bonded the cybernetic parts onto Vic's body?

Answer: His father

Vic paid a visit to his parents at S.T.A.R. Labs on a day when they were observing alternate dimensions via an experimental device. An alien creature used the technology to cross into our dimension and murdered Vic's mother and severely injured Vic, tearing half of his face away, among other wounds. Vic's father used experimental prosthetics to repair Vic, leaving the boy angry and isolated, but alive. Vic's origin story was recounted in the first issue of the 1982 miniseries "Tales of the Teen Titans".
3. During "52", which other superhero bonded with Cyborg?

Answer: Firestorm

Cyborg, along with a team of superheroes, went to the center of the universe to investigate an anomaly. Traveling there using zeta beams, the team found their means of transportation terribly disrupted, and the accident fused together Cyborg and Firestorm. The first issue of "52" went on sale in May 2006.
4. Where had Cyborg been during DC's "missing year"?

Answer: He was comatose.

As a result of a zeta beam accident, Cyborg suffered immense damage and had to be rebuilt. His comatose body was kept in Titans Tower, and all the team members still looked to him as a mentor, despite his being in a coma. Cyborg learns of this in the thirty-seventh issue of "Teen Titans", which went on sale in August 2006.
5. Cyborg discovers a surveillance tape showing which other team member?

Answer: Raven

In the tape, Raven is fearful of something that could destroy the Teen Titans. After Cyborg's discovery, the team departs on a world-spanning voyage to find Raven. Cyborg discovered the mysterious tape in issue # thirty-eight of "Teen Titans", which went on sale in September 2006.
6. Whom does Cyborg help face his fear?

Answer: Bart Allen

Jay Garrick asked Cyborg to talk to Bart about his fear of taking over the mantle of the Flash. Cyborg talked to his friend in the Keystone City zoo. This event took place in "Flash: The Fastest Man Alive" #5, which debuted in December 2006.
7. Where does Cyborg bring Miss Martian?

Answer: Belle Reve prison

Cyborg wants Miss Martian to use her telepathic powers to read Bombshell's mind. Although she's reluctant at first, Miss Martian agrees, just before the Titans East appear and attack the two Titans! These events took place in the forty-third volume of "Teen Titans", which went on sale in March 2007.
8. Who tortures Cyborg during the Titans East attack?

Answer: Risk

Risk is actually Cody Driscoll, a young man who has the power of heightened reflexes, speed, and super-strength. He used to be a superhero before turning to crime. He became part of Deathstroke's Titans East. He tortured Cyborg in April 2007's issue of "Teen Titans", number forty-four.
9. In Season Three of the Teen Titans animated series, what alias does Cyborg use?

Answer: Stone

In the series, Cyobrg's real name is never revealed, but he does use an alias based off of his real name in the comic books in the episode "Deception" in order to infiltrate the H.I.V.E. stronghold. The episode first aired on 28 August, 2004.
10. In "Smallville", Cyborg's enhancements are endoskeletal, not exoskeletal.

Answer: True

Lee Thompson Young played Vic Stone in his first appearance in the fifth season episode "Cyborg", which aired on 16 February 2006. He later joins Green Arrow's superhero team, finally taking the name "Cyborg".
