Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which ride at Mountain Creek Water Park is shaped like a funnel?

Answer: High Anxiety

You want to have a lot of people for this ride for two reasons: First off, if you have four people with you it's a lot easier to carry the big tube to the top of the ride. Secondly, the more people you have the faster your tube moves once the ride starts. It is a lot of fun.
2. Which ride at Mountain Creek Water Park is at the highest elevation?

Answer: H2-Oh-No!

H2-Oh-No! is crazy. First off, you got to walk all the way up the mountain just to get there. You then got to climb four flights of stairs just to drop ninety nine feet at almost a vertical drop down a wicked speed slide. I've gotten cut and bruised on this ride.
3. What are the names of the two different jumps on the Canyon Cliffs?

Answer: Little Moe and Big Moe

Little Moe requires you dropping eighteen feet into a pool of ice cold water. While Big Moe requires you to jump five feet further. For some reason only one of the cliffs is open at a time.
4. What road is Mountain Creek Water Park on?

Answer: Route 94

Mountain Creek Water Park is located in Vernon, in northern New Jersey. It is about a one hour drive from the New York City area. Just don't drive that fast the roads can be a little twisty and narrow.
5. How many gallons of water does the High Tide Wave pool utilize to make its waves?

Answer: 450,000

It's amazing how to just generate two foot waves requires so much water usage. No rough housing in the water though, the lifeguards will not hesitate to kick you out of the pool area. Thankfully, New Jersey doesn't suffer from many droughts.
6. Which body slide concludes with an eighteen foot drop?

Answer: Bombs Away

Unlike the Canyon Cliffs, there is no jumping required. Just lay back and let gravity do the rest. That water sure is cold. Don't wear a watch, it might be ripped off your wrist from the force of the water hitting you and then you'll never get it back.
7. What ride lasts for sixteen hundred feet?

Answer: Colorado River Ride

If you don't go on the Colorado River Ride first thing when you get to Mountain Creek be prepared to wait on some very long lines to get the chance to go on it. The Colorado River Ride is one of Mountain Creek Water Park's most popular rides.
8. What ride concludes with a ten foot free fall into a mountain spring pool?

Answer: Cannonball Falls

Cannonball Falls has two tubes. The one on the right is faster than the one on the left. However, the tube on the left is longer than the tube on the right. So if you're racing your friend the right side will always win.
9. What ride shares the same location and pool as Cannonball Falls?

Answer: Tarzan Swings

Tarzan Swings can be very time consuming. If a person is afraid to jump with the rope they can delay the other people who are patiently waiting for their turn to go. Some people do some funny belly flops when they slip off the rope.
10. What single tube ride spins you 360 degrees in a dark tunnel?

Answer: The Gauley

The Gauley is like a miniature Colorado River Ride without the companionship of others. Unlike, the Colorado River Ride you got to carry your tube all the way from the bottom of the ride, all the way to the top. Now that's a work out. Have a great time if you go there and don't forget to bring the sunblock.
