5. What single word is hidden in the art of "New X-Men" #118, 18 times?

The artist, Ethan Van Sciver, denied any responsibility for putting them in there. Given the general undertones of the plot and dialog, it seems likely the whole creative team had a hand in it, though.
6. What genre of music was Martha Johansson a fan of?

Answer: Metal

"Martha's a metal fan," according to John Sublime in "New X-Men" #119, the man who stuck her mutant brain into a small glass sphere.
7. What's the name of the waitress who serves Wolverine and Angel in the beginning of "New X-Men" #120?

Answer: Millie

Though probably unrelated, "Millie the Model" was the name of a semi-popular comic book put out by Marvel Comics in the 1960s.
8. "New X-Men" #121, along with other comics made by Marvel during that month, all shared a similar gimmick. What was the name of this gimmick month?

Answer: 'Nuff Said

All of Marvel's comics during this month were done without text, just art. Although "New X-Men" cheated a little and put one speech balloon on the last page.
As well, Assistant Editors' Month was a real gimmick used by Marvel back in the early 1980s. All the issues were supposed to be a bit sillier, to highlight the wacky and unreliable antics of Marvel's Assistant Editors. Unfortunately, it was revealed years later that it was a lie, and the normal Editors had edited it as usual.
9. The X-Men realized they were in trouble in "New X-Men" #122, and knew they needed some extra help. Who did Cyclops go to to get aid from?

Answer: Xorn

The X-Men had previously freed Xorn from an underground prison in "New X-Men" Annual 2001. Xorn's mutant power emerged at puberty, when a microscopic star formed in his head, destroying his head and giving him a wide range of powers. At least, that's what the X-Men thought.
10. What was the name of the Stepford Cuckoo who had fallen in love with a mutant from Japan named Kato, in "New X-Men" #123?

Answer: Esme

The Stepford Cuckoos - five blond girls who, when together, form a single, powerful super-mind. They are the prize students of Emma Frost.
11. What was the name of the Imperial Superguardian Elite member who was watching over Cyclops after he had been captured?

Answer: G-Type

Xorn defeated G-Type by using his gravitational powers to interfere with her "core" in "New X-Men" #124.
12. When Angel came to free Beak in "New X-Men" #125, what did Beak say he deserved as a "basic human right"?

Answer: pants

Beak and Angel would later have a romantic relationship, and this was their first meeting.
13. What revelation did Xavier have at the end of "New X-Men" #126?

Answer: He could walk again

Although born able to walk, he was crippled early on in his adventuring career by an encounter with Lucifer, who dropped a large rock on him. He was later able to walk when his consciousness was placed in a cloned body, but was put back into a wheelchair after being mugged.
14. Cassandra Nova was the main villain throughout "New X-Men" #114-126. What relation was she to Professor X?

Answer: twin sister

This was shown in the silent issue (#121), when Xavier first used his powers to fight off an attack of hers while they were fetuses still in the womb.
15. "New X-Men" #114-126 was plagued by fill-in art, as "regular artist" Frank Quitely was not able to keep a consistent monthly schedule. What order would the names of the artists be in, from most issues drawn to least?

Answer: Quitely, Kordey, Sciver

Frank Quitely, regular series artist, managed to draw a mighty six out of the thirteen issues. Igor Kordey penciled and ink four issues, despite already penciling and inking another monthly title and a miniseries. Ethan Van Sciver drew 3 issues, getting a small art assist from Tom Derenick in issue #123.
