1. What colour is Simmons?

Answer: Maroon

It's not revealed in the first episode who the characters are. Mainly in episode two we will get to know the characters.

2. What was the question Simmons asked Grif at the start of the episode?

Answer: 'Why are we here?'

Basically this was just to ask why were they stuck in the middle of a canyon. Grif thought he was talking about something else, so the two started discussing why they were sent to Blood Gulch.

3. Why did Grif ramble on about God when Simmons was asking him a question?

Answer: Because he thought he meant why they were alive

Neither Grif nor Simmons are religious, but Simmons loves to talk about peoples' beliefs and/or memories. Grif denied he was talking about God but Simmons wanted to see if Grif would talk about it.

4. What did Grif sign on to the army to do?

Answer: To fight aliens

Unfortunately for Grif, he never fought some aliens. Basically he was upset because he wanted to fight intelligent lifeforms- not the blues. If you understand what Grif was talking about you'd realize he was insulting the blues' intelligence.

Answer: True

He said Master Chief blew up all the Covenant, which is what happened at the end of the first 'Halo'! Grif then complained, since Master Chief had already blown up all the Covenant, that there were no more aliens to fight.

Answer: Church and Tucker (two blues)

Church is the cobalt-coloured one with the sniper and Tucker is the one with Cyan coloured armour! They were up there just to find out what the reds were up to so they could report it to command but in the end found out nothing.

Answer: Stand there and talk

They were just basically guarding the base! Church seemed defensive when Tucker asked him the question stating the reds always stand there and talk.

8. Why does Tucker complain so much?

Answer: He never gets to use the rifle

He complains that he doesn't get the best weapons and that he is only stuck with a pistol! It's not like there's any problems with a pistol; it just can't zoom as good as a sniper rifle. Tucker just wanted to have an awesome weapon and to be stealthy so he could spy on the reds himself.

Answer: Five

They are Grif, Simmons, Church, Tucker and Sarge (who only has one line in the episode at the end). Sarge has a more important role in the next episode.

10. Where is Blood Gulch?

Answer: In a canyon

It's a boxed canyon in the middle of nowhere. There is also no way in or out! Grif and Simmons were talking about having a base in the same canyon as the enemy.
