Answer: Remember the Titans

"Remember the Titans" was set in the 1970s, and starred Denzel Washington as the head coach of a newly integrated high school's football team. The team begins to unite as one, once racial differences are put aside. It was released in 2000.

"Moneyball" (2011) was the story of Oakland A's GM Billy Beane, and how he built his team using advanced statistics, called sabermetrics. The film starred Brad Pitt, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. "Bull Durham" and "Field of Dreams" both were Kevin Costner movies, the first one about a minor-league catcher suddenly promoted to the majors, the latter about a farmer who hears voices that inspire him to build a baseball field.

Dryden published the book in 1983, the book is an account of the 1978-79 Montreal Canadiens season, in which they went on to win the Stanley Cup. The cover of the book was done by Denis Brodeur, one of hockey's premier photographers, and the father of goaltender Martin Broduer. The book has been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the "Top 10 Sports Books of All-Time".

It was set in the fictional town of Dillon, Texas and focused around head coach Eric Taylor (played by Kyle Chandler) and his family. In that role, Chandler won the Primetime Emmy for Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 2011.

In order to save his lovely grandmother's home, Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) takes up golf, after his dreams of playing in the National Hockey League are gone. Wearing a Boston Bruins jersey, and with a hockey stick instead of a golf club, Gilmore shoots up the rankings of the game.

When he meets Barker (playing himself) at the pro-am tournament, Gilmore knocks the game-show legend to the ground, adding "The Price is Wrong", after he critiqued the use of a hockey stick for a shot.

The 2001 episode "Hungry, Hungry, Homer" featured Homer Simpson going on a hunger strike after finding evidence that the Springfield Isotopes were moving to Albuquerque. Two years later, the people of Albuquerque voted to call their new, real, minor league baseball team, the Isotopes. A statue of Homer and Marge Simpson can be seen at Isotope Park, in Albuquerque.
