Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dave's one-line summary of "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" was a quote from which other notoriously terrible movie?

Answer: Showgirls

"Man, everybody got AIDS and...!" That pretty much served as the bizarre "twist" in "Temptation". Judith, the titular marriage counselor, contracted HIV/AIDS from her secret lover, Harley, who also gave it to Melinda, portrayed bewilderingly by famed R&B singer Brandy. Amazingly, Judith's husband, Brice, managed to avoid contracting the disease.
2. When Jake told the story about the two "bros" who were confused by the poster for "Exodus: Gods and Kings", what was the other Bible-related movie that Brad thought they might be seeing first?

Answer: The Hobbit

As Jake was taking a smoke break, two "bros" were walking into the theater, when Bro #1 asked, "Dude, what's 'Exodus'?" Bro #2, slightly dumbfounded, replied, "It's...it's the story of Moses," to which Bro #1 replied, "I know, but what BOOK is it from?" Bro #2 was flabbergasted at Bro #1's stupidity, while Jake was laughing his butt off.
3. Why did Jake agree to see "That's My Boy", despite his extreme distaste for everything Adam Sandler?

Answer: Sarah asked him to see it with her, and she had pretty eyes

Despite a long spiel about how terrible Adam Sandler and "That's My Boy" were and his disbelief that Brad would send him to such an awful film, the only thing Sarah took away from the rant was the fact that she had pretty eyes.
4. Which movie was so amazingly terrible that Brad sent ALL six of the site's main reviewers, including himself, to see it?

Answer: Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas

While all four of those were deemed awful, Cameron's inability to follow basic film conventions, including proper cinematography, sound mixing, and logic prompted Brad to send everyone he could find to see this movie. The three reviews ended up having very different styles; Brad and Dave's was filled with laughter, Jake and Irving's was an angry rant, and Brian and Sarah's was a calm discussion of the points of the movie. All three were vastly entertaining.
5. In one of the "Midnight Screenings"' most memorable moments, Jerrid was confused about the name of a certain author during "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie". Which author?

Answer: Jules Verne

Due to his familiarity with "Back to the Future: Part III", Jerrid thought "Jules" and "Verne" were two different authors who collaborated on such novels as "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea". Cue the raucous laughter.
6. Which movie's title was frequently altered by the reviewers to include the words "Totes" and "Yo"?

Answer: Heaven Is for Real

Or "Heaven Is Totes Real, Yo", to use the preferred nomenclature. During the review, Dave found a parody Colton Burpo Twitter account and read off some of the many bizarre and disturbing tweets, including "In heaven, every bed is a racecar bed," "God has a fire sword," and "Because of what I have seen, I am always ready to die." Yeesh.
7. Alec Baldwin's singing in "Rock of Ages" was impressive. In fact, Brad called his singing the best since which other actor?

Answer: Pierce Brosnan in "Mamma Mia!"

Suffice it to say, Brad was being sarcastic. Despite this, Brad recommended the movie due to its insane weirdness, stating that he laughed in a lot of places that he probably wasn't supposed to.
8. During their play-by-play run-through of which movie did the two reviewers decide that the "C" in AMC Theatres' name stood for "Corn"?

Answer: A Madea Christmas

Among the many, many details they went into during their review, Dave and Brian criticized Tyler Perry's failure to understand basic agriculture. One of the points they had a problem with was Perry's idea that two farmers in the same town are not allowed to grow the same crop.

The cornfield near the theater they were attending prompted them to realize that "AMC" stood for "American Movie CORN".
9. During which movie was there a couple having...relations...in the back of an otherwise empty theater for the entire running time?

Answer: Mr. Popper's Penguins

Yes, this actually happened. Jake found "Mr. Popper's Penguins" rather entertaining, but certainly not because of the content of the film. Jerrid, unfortunately, absolutely failed to notice anything unusual in the theater, due to being completely braindead from the stupidity of the movie he was watching.
10. Because he went to a public school, Brad learned about the Torah instead of the Bible at school when he was a kid. Which movie did Brad claim to have watched while learning about it?

Answer: The Frisco Kid

He went to a bad school, so they studied the Torah on odd years. No, not really. He just slept through the class, and it was the movie he dreamed about.
