WWE 'Smackdown' August 1, 2002 Quiz

Rey Mysterio faced off against Tajiri as 'Smackdown' began. Tajiri had control of the match from the onset, but when Mysterio hit the 619, Tajiri lost the power struggle. After giving Tajiri a hurricanrana from the top rope, Mysterio pinned Tajiri for the win.

Answer: Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle came to the ring to tell the audience that it was a huge misunderstanding the previous week. Angle said he was talking to his brother Eric, not Eric Bischoff. He apologized for scaring everyone, and said that if he wasn't on 'Smackdown' there would be no reason to watch it.

Then Angle went on to say how he was very upset at Brock Lesnar for interfering in his match. Then he said that Lesnar was playing Hungry Hungry Hippos while Angle was wrestling. Angle then called out the 'Next Big Thing' Brock Lesnar.

Answer: Hulk Hogan

Although Angle called out Brock Lesnar, it was Hulk Hogan who came out instead. Hogan told Angle to stop whining, and that he wanted a piece of Lesnar for interfering in his Tag Team Match the previous week. Angle said that if Hogan thought he was leaving the ring he was crazy. Angle told Hogan to come to the ring and do something about it. With that, Hogan strutted to the ring and ambushed Angle, tossing him over the top rope.

Then Stephanie McMahon came to the ring and told Angle and Hogan that since they both want Brock Lesnar, then they'd have to wrestle each other tonight, and the winner of their match would face Lesnar the following week on 'Smackdown'. Angle promised to do to Hogan what he did at 'Vengeance'.

Answer: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar faced off against Mark Henry. Henry had control of the match, but Lesnar's quickness overcame Henry's brute strength. Lesnar won when he gave Henry the 'F5' and pinned him for the win.

Answer: Kurt Angle

Hulk Hogan faced off against Kurt Angle in a match that would decide who would face Brock Lesnar the following week. During the match, the referee was knocked out, and when Angle couldn't get the better of Hogan he decided to bring in a steel chair. Just as Angle hit Hogan with the chair, the referee came to. The referee saw the chair shot and disqualified Angle, allowing Hogan to win.

Answer: Brock Lesnar

During the match, Lesnar came to the ring and tried to interfere, but ended up in a shouting match with Hogan. After the match, Lesnar hit Hogan with 'F5'.

Answer: Rikishi

Reverend D-Von, accompanied to the ring by Deacon Bautista, faced off against Rikishi. From the onset of the match, Rikishi dispatched Bautista with a severe kick to the head. Rikishi defeated D-Von when he gave him the 'Rump Shaker' and pinned the Reverend for the win.

Answer: Nidia

Jamie Noble came to the ring and accused Michael Cole of eyeing his girlfriend, Nidia. Noble demanded that Nidia show Cole a good time, which she did. Nidia gave Cole a lap dance, followed by a tongue to tongue kiss.

Answer: Rico

Rico, accompanied by Billy and Chuck, faced off against John Cena. The deck was stacked against Cena, as Billy and Chuck interfered every chance they had. Finally, Rico was able to defeat Cena, with the help of Billy and Chuck, who gave Cena a flying bulldog from the top rope.

Answer: Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit

Before the match, Stephanie McMahon announced, much to the horror of Eric Bischoff, who purchased a ticket and then paid a fan to have his seat, that she had acquired Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero from 'Raw'. Stephanie then announced that Benoit and Guerrero would be facing The Rock and Edge in a Tag Team Match.

When the match started, the team of The Rock and Edge had control, but that was soon taken away by Guerrero and Benoit. During the match, Brock Lesnar came to ringside to watch the match, since he would be facing The Rock at 'Summerslam'. Lesnar was delighted when Benoit slapped The Rock into the 'Crippler Crossface', forcing the WWE Undisputed Champion to tap out.

Then as Lesnar was walking up the ramp, Hogan attacked him with a steel chair.
