Answer: The Sherman Brothers

Xavier Atencio (with help from composer George Burns) actually wrote "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)". Of course, they change the words in order to fit their needs. The first few lines are as followed. "Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's out the door you go, we hope you've all enjoyed the show heigh ho, heigh ho, heigh ho, heigh ho, heigh ho, keep marching in a row, don't stop to look or read a book heigh ho, heigh ho, heigh ho heigh ho, heigh ho..."

This attraction was actually up and running elsewhere before Walt Disney World even opened. It was one of the attractions Walt Disney was able to enjoy before passing. It opened June 23, 1963. Some other attractions that were open on that first day include the Country Bear Jamboree, the Jungle Cruise, and the Hall of Presidents!
