Question 1 of 10
1. In the Happy Hare, Bugs Bunny is polishing glasses when a young rabbit sits down on a bar stool. "My name's Peter," he says, "and I'd like a glass of milk."

Bugs glances at a scratch on Peter's arm and says, "What's up, doc?"

"Oh, that?" says Peter. "I got that escaping from an old man's garden. My mummy told us we couldn't go in there, but I was hungry and he had all those delicious vegetables. Anyway, he had it coming. My mummy says he baked my daddy in a pie."

What is the name of the owner of the garden?
Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. While Peter Rabbit is playing with Babs and Buster Bunny, Br'er Rabbit comes into the Happy Hare. "What'll it be, old pal?" asks Bugs. "The usual? Say, how's about you sit down and tell these kids 'bout some of the tricks you played?"

Br'er Rabbit chuckles. "I'll always remember the incident with the tar baby, long as I live," he says. "That rascal Br'er Fox thought he'd got me licked, but he's got nothing on ol' Br'er Rabbit. Said he was gonna punish me when he found I'd got stuck to that thing, but boy, you shoulda seen the look on his face when I tricked him into throwing me into the very place I was born!"

Where was Br'er Rabbit born?
Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. The next bunny to enter the bar has to stoop to get in. He has huge teeth, floppy ears and a bow tie, and is followed by a smaller, ordinary rabbit, who introduces himself as Hutch. "This is my mate, the Were-Rabbit," he says. "Don't be alarmed, he's a gentle giant really - he eats vegetables, not people." The Were-Rabbit grunts in agreement. "I'll have a pack of peanuts, please," says Hutch, "and a pint of carrot juice for him."

What man and dog duo encountered this misunderstood creature in the film 'The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'?
Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. Dark Bunny comes out of the toilet, drying off his paws. "It's been real, Bugs," he says, clapping the bartender on the back, "but I've got to go and fight some crime."

"I thought you committed crime, not fought it," says one smart aleck rabbit. "No," says Dark Bunny solemnly. "I used to be evil, thanks to the witch that raised me, but then Mary Moo Cow taught me the error of my ways, and I am forever in her debt. Now I must be off. Give my regards to my twin, Bionic Bunny, if you see him." With a swish of his cape, Dark Bunny disappears into the night.

On which cartoon show would you find the characters - some of whom are also rabbits - watching 'The Bionic Bunny'?
Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. A little yellow rabbit with a fluffy white tuft on his head enters the bar and asks if the jukebox has any songs by Fall Out Boy. "Say, who are you?" asks Buster Bunny.

"I'm one of the 'Happy Tree Friends'," says the cute little bunny, "and my name is..." Tragically, he is cut short when the jukebox, which is made by ACME, falls on him. Bugs isn't fazed. "Aww, that sort of thing happens to them Happy Tree Friends all the time," he says, lifting the jukebox off the squashed critter and peeling him off the floor. "He'll be fine."

What is the name of the unfortunate rabbit from 'Happy Tree Friends'?
Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. "What in the name of El-Hrairah's whiskers are you fools rabbiting on about?" exclaims a large, mean-looking rabbit with bloodstained fur and mismatched, bloodshot eyes, propping up the bar. "I am no mere trickster; I am the commander of the Efrafa warren! No elil dare to approach us on my watch. I fought my way to the top, and even Hazel couldn't outwit me. Mother does everywhere tells their kits to fear me. Why, I even fought a dog!" The other rabbits in the Happy Hare wisely decide not to ask what some of these strange words mean.

"And who might you be, Doc?" asked Bugs.

"Don't you know who I am?" bellows the angry rabbit. "I'm General Woundwort, you imbecile!"

In which children's book - also adapted as an animated film - is General Woundwort the antagonist?
Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Bugs notices a tall, strange-looking rabbit (if it IS a rabbit) skulking in a corner. The rabbit has blank white eyes and huge, terrible teeth. "Say, Doc," Bugs asks the rabbit, "was you here earlier? And why are you wearing that stupid rabbit suit?"

"Why are YOU wearing that stupid rabbit suit?" replies the rabbit. "And how come you can see me? I thought I only existed in the mind of some kid called Donnie Darko. I told him the world was going to end in 28 days, and then I made him flood his school and burn someone's house down. Oh, and I killed his girlfriend and dated his sister, and he shot me, the ungrateful swine. He totally deserved to get a jet engine on his house."

What is this mysterious rabbit's name?
Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. A giant rabbit enters the Happy Hare, wiping blood from its mouth, and plays on a fruit machine. "You sure don't want to mess with that rabbit, Uncle Bugs," whispers Babs Bunny, as the giant rabbit kicks the machine in a temper. "He's killed humans. I heard he survived a mine explosion down in Arizona."

"And all his buddies got electrocuted by an electric fence made of a railroad track," chimes in Buster Bunny. "No wonder he's so sore."

In what horror movie, featuring Rory Calhoun and Janet Leigh, does this terrible critter appear?
Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. An albino rabbit with a red collar kicks the door of the Happy Hare open, just in time to hear Buster Bunny's young friend Cream say, "We're sure getting some bad rabbits in here tonight."

"Please don't be alarmed," pleads the rabbit. "I know I look a bit scary, but I can't help it. Some mean scientists experimented on me when I was a little girl and turned me into a zoanthrope, a human that could turn into an animal. They taught me to fight and then I ran away before they could brainwash me and make me into a really bad bunny. Although," she concedes, "I have used my opponents as footballs, and I guess my pink heart attack probably hurts quite a lot. My name's Alice Tsukagami, by the way. Pleased to meet you."

In which animal-themed fighting game would you find Alice?
Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. A mysterious old man in a horned helmet enters the Happy Hare, carrying a small fluffy white rabbit, and says his name is Tim the Enchanter and he has come seeking refreshment for his rabbit. "Aw, what a cute little critter!" exclaims Babs Bunny. "Can I pet him?"

"Pet him?" says Tim. "This is no ordinary rabbit! He is the Rabbit of Caerbannog, the most foul, cruel and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes upon! His lair is littered with the bones of his victims. He has slain the men of King Arthur, and can only be killed by the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch."

The Rabbit of Caerbannog squeaks. Tim translates this as, "Give me a carrot juice on the rocks or I'll smash up this bar." Just to prove its point, the Rabbit of Caerbannog mauls three innocent passers-by, chews a hole in the wall of the bar and smashes the fruit machine.

In which Monty Python film does this terrible beast appear?

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the Happy Hare, Bugs Bunny is polishing glasses when a young rabbit sits down on a bar stool. "My name's Peter," he says, "and I'd like a glass of milk." Bugs glances at a scratch on Peter's arm and says, "What's up, doc?" "Oh, that?" says Peter. "I got that escaping from an old man's garden. My mummy told us we couldn't go in there, but I was hungry and he had all those delicious vegetables. Anyway, he had it coming. My mummy says he baked my daddy in a pie." What is the name of the owner of the garden?

Answer: Mr McGregor

"Any bunny who comes into my bar and tells me a story about bad things they've done, they're gonna get a rating out of 10 for their bad behaviour," says Bugs. "And you're one mischievous little fella." He gives Peter 5 out of 10 for his vegetable stealing attempt.

Peter Rabbit is the hero of several books by Beatrix Potter. The book this question alludes to is 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit', where Peter yearns for vegetables from Mr McGregor's garden, even though he has been told not to go there. He sneaks into the garden to steal vegetables, but is nearly caught by Mr McGregor, and loses his blue jacket, which his cousin Benjamin helps him get back in 'The Tale of Benjamin Bunny'.
2. While Peter Rabbit is playing with Babs and Buster Bunny, Br'er Rabbit comes into the Happy Hare. "What'll it be, old pal?" asks Bugs. "The usual? Say, how's about you sit down and tell these kids 'bout some of the tricks you played?" Br'er Rabbit chuckles. "I'll always remember the incident with the tar baby, long as I live," he says. "That rascal Br'er Fox thought he'd got me licked, but he's got nothing on ol' Br'er Rabbit. Said he was gonna punish me when he found I'd got stuck to that thing, but boy, you shoulda seen the look on his face when I tricked him into throwing me into the very place I was born!" Where was Br'er Rabbit born?

Answer: A briar patch

"You're the original prankster!" says Bugs. Br'er Rabbit gets a score of 6 out of 10 for all the mischief he's caused those predators.

The trickster figure and folk hero Br'er Rabbit appears in many different forms on media, the most well-known being Joel Chandler's 'Uncle Remus' stories and on film in Disney's 'Song of the South'. 'The Tar Baby' is one of the two Br'er Rabbit stories in that film, the other being 'The Laughing Place'. Br'er Rabbit features in both African-American and Cherokee folklore; he bears some similarities to Nanabozho, an Anishinaabe trickster god who sometimes took the form of a rabbit, and the hare which appears as a trickster figure in West, Central and South African stories.
"I'll have a pack of peanuts, please," says Hutch, "and a pint of carrot juice for him." What man and dog duo encountered this misunderstood creature in the film 'The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'?

Answer: Wallace and Gromit

"You're a big ol' softy really, aren't you?" says Bugs, and he gives the Were-Rabbit 0 out of 10. The Were-Rabbit is pleased.

'Wallace & Gromit' is the first feature-length film by starring the cheese-loving inventor and his long-suffering dog. While trying to brainwash captured rabbits with his Mind Manipulation O-Matic, Wallace accidentally gets caught in the machine with a rabbit, who becomes intelligent and stops eating vegetables. Wallace names the rabbit Hutch. Meanwhile, the people of the town of Tottington discover that a giant rabbit, dubbed the 'Were-Rabbit', has been eating their prize vegetables. Wallace and Gromit think the Were-Rabbit is Hutch, but it isn't - it's actually Wallace, thanks to the Mind Manipulation O-Matic!
4. Dark Bunny comes out of the toilet, drying off his paws. "It's been real, Bugs," he says, clapping the bartender on the back, "but I've got to go and fight some crime." "I thought you committed crime, not fought it," says one smart aleck rabbit.

Answer: Arthur

"You look the part, and you sound like an anti-hero, but you definitely ain't a villain," says Bugs, and he gives Dark Bunny 4 out of 10.

'Bionic Bunny' is a superhero programme popular with Arthur the aadvark and his friends in the cartoon series based on the books by Marc Brown. Bionic Bunny is played by Wilbur Rabbit and is more of a 'good guy' character, in the mould of Superman (his outfit has the same colour scheme as Superman's) or Captain America. Dark Bunny is the hero of the sequel, and is more of a Batman-like figure. Mary Moo Cow is a Barney the Dinosaur parody; Arthur's little sister DW is a fan.
"He'll be fine." What is the name of the unfortunate rabbit from 'Happy Tree Friends'?

Answer: Cuddles

"I'm gonna give ya 3 out of 10," says Bugs, "'cos you must be a villain, even if you ain't very good at it. Villains always get foiled by ACME products. Yosemite Sam says he's gonna sue."

'Happy Tree Friends' is an internet flash cartoon made by Kenn Navarro, featuring cute, smiling technicolour animals, such as Cuddles the rabbit (the first character to be created), Giggles the chipmunk, Handy the beaver and Flaky the porcupine. Don't be fooled by the title - it is most definitely not for kids! Every episode involves the characters dying in various nasty ways.

The band Fall Out Boy are fans of the series, and Navarro directed the video for their single 'The Carpal Tunnel of Love' featuring animal versions of the band alongside the regular characters. Of course, they all died horrible deaths.
"I'm General Woundwort, you imbecile!" In which children's book - also adapted as an animated film - is General Woundwort the antagonist?

Answer: Watership Down

"8 out of 10 for you, soldier," says Bugs, glancing nervously at the General.

General Woundwort is the main antagonist in Richard Adams' 'Watership Down', and the 1978 film based on the book. He runs Efrafa, a warren with a large amount of does, with an iron paw, and when Hazel and his friends help some of the Efrafan rabbits escape, Woundwort and his Owsla (a rabbit police force) waste no time in tracking them down. Although he leads an attack on Hazel's group, a dog freed by Hazel kills his soldiers. Woundwort takes the dog on, but nothing is known of what happened to him in afterwards.

In case you were wondering what the weird words mean, the rabbits speak a language called Lapine, and 'elil' is the Lapine word for 'enemy', usually referring to predators. El-Hrairah is a legendary trickster hero in rabbit mythology.
7. Bugs notices a tall, strange-looking rabbit (if it IS a rabbit) skulking in a corner. The rabbit has blank white eyes and huge, terrible teeth. "Say, Doc," Bugs asks the rabbit, "was you here earlier? And why are you wearing that stupid rabbit suit?" "Why are YOU wearing that stupid rabbit suit?" replies the rabbit. He totally deserved to get a jet engine on his house." What is this mysterious rabbit's name?

Answer: Frank

"Criminal damage AND moider? That's one bad combination!" says Bugs, impressed, and he gives Frank 8 out of 10, tying him with General Woundwort.

'Frank' appears in the film 'Donnie Darko', first seen leading Donnie out of his house and telling him the world will end in 28 days. He tells Donnie to commit various misdeeds throughout the film, and may or may not be real. He is thought to be a delusion caused by schizophrenia, but later, Donnie's sister's boyfriend, also called Frank, shows up wearing the rabbit suit.
I heard he survived a mine explosion down in Arizona." "And all his buddies got electrocuted by an electric fence made of a railroad track," chimes in Buster Bunny. "No wonder he's so sore." In what horror movie, featuring Rory Calhoun and Janet Leigh, does this terrible critter appear?

Answer: Night of the Lepus

"You're the meanest rabbit we've had yet!" says Bugs, and he gives the Lepus an astonishing 9 out of 10.

'Night of the Lepus' is a 1972 sci-fi/horror film, originally titled 'Rabbits', though MGM changed the name so as not to give away what the terrible creatures in the film actually were. Featuring giant killer mutant rabbits who ate people and terrorised a town, and were eventually killed by mass electric shock, it bombed at the box office and was universally panned.
9. An albino rabbit with a red collar kicks the door of the Happy Hare open, just in time to hear Buster Bunny's young friend Cream say, "We're sure getting some bad rabbits in here tonight." "Please don't be alarmed," pleads the rabbit. Pleased to meet you." In which animal-themed fighting game would you find Alice?

Answer: Bloody Roar

"You ain't that bad, really," says Bugs, and he gives Alice 2 out of 10, if only for her fighting abilities.

'Bloody Roar' is a fighting game with a difference; the characters are 'zoanthropes' who can transform into animals, or rather, human-animal hybrids. Alice Tsukagami - presumably named after 'Alice in Wonderland' - is a rabbit zoanthrope who is kidnapped as a child by an institution who are aiming to use zoanthropes as weapons. She escapes, and is later adopted by Mitsuko, a wild pig zoanthrope. Other characters include Yugo (a wolf), Bakuryu (a mole) and Jin Long (a tiger).
10. A mysterious old man in a horned helmet enters the Happy Hare, carrying a small fluffy white rabbit, and says his name is Tim the Enchanter and he has come seeking refreshment for his rabbit. "Aw, what a cute little critter!" exclaims Babs Bunny. "Can I pet him?" "Pet him?" says Tim. "This is no ordinary rabbit! He is the Rabbit of Caerbannog, the most foul, cruel and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes upon! His lair is littered with the bones of his victims. He has slain the men of King Arthur, and can only be killed by the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch." The Rabbit of Caerbannog squeaks.

Answer: Monty Python and the Holy Grail

"I warned you," sighs Tim. "Now I've got to clean him up."

"I think we've got a winner," says Bugs, and gives the Rabbit of Caerbannog 10/10. "You're the baddest bunny I ever saw." The Rabbit is too busy offering General Woundwort outside to notice.

The Rabbit of Caerbannog appears in 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', and tears its way through King Arthur's men, despite Tim the Enchanter's repeated warnings to stay back (as if the scattered bones in its cave weren't enough of a clue). Eventually, it is felled by Brother Maynard's relic, the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. (But remember, you must count to three!)
