Trots and Bonnie first appeared in the November, 1972 issue of "National Lampoon" and drawn by Shary Flenniken, who was also an editor for the magazine. The strip ran in "National Lampoon" until 1990.

Tiger-Man first appeared in "Thrilling Adventure Stories" in February, 1975 and thereafter in his own title, "Tiger-Man", which lasted three issues. Seaboard Periodicals, known as Atlas Comics across the covers of their comicbooks and magazines, was a short-lived mid-1970's company created by original Timely Comics founder Martin Goodman.

This company was a creator's rights pioneer, and drew many talented artists to draw for them, such as Neal Adams, Steve Ditko, Alex Toth, and Wally Wood.

The original Captain Canuck was produced by two Canadians-writer Ron Leishman and artist Richard Comely in 1975. Only 3 issues of "Captain Canuck" came out before going on hiatus in early 1976. In 1981, with art by George Freeman, eleven more issues were produced and the fifteenth and final issue was released in 2004 in a limited run by Comely. Two other versions of "Captain Canuck" appeared 1993 and 2004 with different people assuming the mantle of the hero.

First published in 1982, "Cherry Poptart" became "Cherry" with issue 3 due to a looming lawsuit brought on by Kelloggs over the Poptarts brandname. Last Gasp was the publisher through #13, issues 14 and 15 were put out under Kitchen Sink Press, and subsequent issues thereafter were released under Cherry Comics.

Some of the regular characters featured besides Cherry was her mom Pepper and girlfriends Ellie Dee, Patty Melt and Lola Palooza.
