Argentina is located at the bottom of South America and has a lovely capital city called Buenos Aires. The breathtaking Iguaçu Falls are a collection of waterfalls on the Argentina-Brazil border. Patagonia is a dry, barren plateau in the southern part of the country known for having unique plants and animals.

The Aswan High Dam is located on the Nile River in Egypt. When it was built in 1971, the beautiful body of water Lake Nasser was formed. The dam was built to control the river's natural tendency to flood and to provide a reliable water source for agricultural irrigation.

The Acropolis of Athens is one of the most popular tourist sites in Athens, Greece. This ancient citadel sits atop a large hill guarding the city. It was built around the 5th century B.C. Simply known by many as "The Acropolis", this amazing cluster of buildings is often considered the icon of Ancient Greek civilization.
6. I went to Alcatraz Island last month to take a tour of which famous building?

Answer: Alcatraz Prison

Alcatraz Island, also known as "The Rock", is a rocky island that lies in San Francisco Bay, California. It is home to the infamous Alcatraz Prison which claimed to be inescapable before it closed in 1963. Today it is a tourist attraction that is rumored to be haunted.
7. If I want to visit the beautiful Taj Mahal, to which Indian city will I need to travel?

Answer: Agra

I would have to travel to Agra, India, if I wanted to visit the beautiful royal mausoleum known as the Taj Mahal. Built around 1649, it has wonderful formal gardens and the white marble building is reflected by a long pool in front.
8. Next year, I will be on my way to visit which English river that is strongly associated with the English author William Shakespeare?

Answer: Avon River

I will be going to see the Avon River in England. Sadly, I will no longer be able to visit the "Shakespeare's Memorial Theatre" which burned down in 1926. But, I will be able to view the river from its replacement "The Royal Shakespeare Theatre".

Answer: Antarctica

Before you decide to visit Antarctica, you might want to know that it is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent on the planet. It has no permanent population of humans. In the summer, scientists will venture in to conduct research.

Answer: False

I would have to venture into South America, not China, if I wanted to visit the world's largest river in volume of water that is carried. The name of this mighty river is derived from a fabled tribe of female warriors in South America.
