At the beginning of the book when Dizzy talks about her Mum (birthname: Linda, but renamed Storm), she says she'll rename herself when she's older but something more normal, like Mary or Jane.

Finn is a very old friend, when Dizzy was very young. He invented the Dizzy Game, where you spin round, get dizzy, and fall over! Dizzy had never met Mouse, Leggit or Cara before.
