Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. April woke up to a large array of food for breakfast in Olympus. What food was not included in the buffet?

Answer: Peaches

Olympus was a beautiful city that truly fit the gods of Everworld. April and the others slept in luxurious beds and were fed better than anywhere else they had been. The table-sized tray of food presented to April had so many delicious foods, including shrimp, six different kinds of grapes, eggs from geese, chickens (even hummingbirds), goat's milk, unicorn's milk, and a variety of cakes.

The oranges were so good she even cried.
2. Who was the first mythical being the kids met in the story?

Answer: Cassandra

Cassandra burst into April's room and gave a prophecy. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she described Hetwan invading Olympus, getting a hold of Senna, and finding an "alien blacksmith." Jalil pointed out that the myth of Cassandra was that she always spoke the truth, but was cursed to never be believed. The kids immediately forgot her prophecy and shrugged her off.
3. April admitted she felt what toward her half-sister Senna?

Answer: Hatred

As in the earlier books, April truly resented Senna. She described her feelings toward the boys, which were mixed, yet she felt she could trust them. April admitted that she hated her half-sister. Senna was to blame for everything that had happened since April, Jalil, Christopher, and David were dragged into Everworld.
4. What did Christopher do that shocked his friends?

Answer: He gave up immortality

Christopher had been promised immortality by Dionysus for saving his life. But when the time came and Zeus asked Christopher to step closer, he refused. He felt that since Ganymede had saved his life and Christopher had failed to save his, his price should be to miss out on becoming an immortal. He felt it was the honorable thing to do.
5. How did the kids survey the war around Olympus?

Answer: The rode winged horses

Athena called to Pegasus, the beautiful white flying horse. He brought his sons with him, and the four horses allowed April and the others to ride their backs. Pelias, April's horse, followed his father and his brothers around Mount Olympus, allowing the kids to see where the Hetwan were attacking.
6. What event caused the kids to fret over the upcoming battle with the Hetwan?

Answer: April saw a warrior get shot in the head

April watched as a small hole appeared in the helmet of a Greek warrior near her. In Everworld, guns did not exist; warriors fought with spears, swords, and bow-and-arrows. So when April realized the man had been shot with a bullet, she let the others know. Later, April was repeatedly shot at by the gun.
7. Who had seemingly joined the Hetwan army?

Answer: The Coo-Hatch

Earlier in the series, April had traded her Chemistry book to the Coo-Hatch in exchange for a piece of their incredibly strong steel. The Coo-Hatch in turn created a primitive gun that fired bullet-like objects. It was primitive because it took several Coo-Hatch to load one bullet, and firing it killed at least one Hetwan as a result of holding the gun. April saw the aliens working alongside the Hetwan.
8. What main weapon did David and the others use against the Hetwan while they fought with the Greek warriors?

Answer: Torches

David devised a plan once he saw the layout of the war zone. He had Jalil, Christopher, and April tear up pieces of the Greek tents and douse them in olive oil. The kids set the tent poles into the fire and created torches. Using the torches, they burned the steps that the Hetwan had built to reach the Greek camp. April also used the torches to burn any Hetwan that got close.
9. Which god supported David with his plans of war?

Answer: Hephaistos

David got along well with one of the Greek gods, Hephaistos, or Heph. Heph actually listened to the human David. He couldn't walk, but he was very helpful with the preparations for war with the Hetwan. David helped him in return by designing a first for Everworld: a wheelchair.
10. Whom did Senna call the most powerful person in Everworld?

Answer: Merlin

Senna demanded to be protected from Merlin while in Olympus. She felt that Merlin was the most powerful creature in Everworld. Senna explained that Merlin had something that none of the mighty gods possessed: human ingenuity. He also had imagination.
