Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who did the dragon say was his master?

Answer: Merlin

Merlin sent his dragon to capture the witch Senna. Christopher and David, who were under Senna's spell, attempted to save her, but the dragon was too powerful. However, Sir Galahad and his fellow knights arrived and were able to prevent Senna's abduction.
2. Who did April say she instinctively turned to for support?

Answer: Jalil

Surprisingly, April admitted that she instinctively turned to Jalil for support. Jalil came off as a selfish person who only looked out for himself, but April saw past that and knew he was kinder than that. She thought he was the most interesting person she was traveling with.
3. Who said "Don't let her touch you!"?

Answer: Christopher

Senna was just about to lay a hand on April when Christopher cried "Don't let her touch you!" Christopher had learned the hard way that that was how Senna cast a spell. Earlier she had touched him and he had tried to protect her from the dragon, under her spell. David spent most of the book under Senna's spell, and the group finally knew how she was able to keep him under her control.
4. What color was Loki's blood?

Answer: Black

Loki started a fight while attending a dinner in Sir Galahad's castle. Merlin and the knights Kay, Perceval, Gawain, and Gareth fought against the powerful Norse god of destruction. Galahad managed to injure the god, and black blood fell from the wound. Right as it did, the blood froze. Black ice cubes of blood hit the floor.
5. How did April originally escape from the trolls outside of Galahad's castle?

Answer: She set a field on fire

April ran from the frightening trolls but realized she couldn't run forever. She noticed that she was standing in a field filled with the creatures. April found Jalil's broken watch and used the sunlight to catch some of the dry grass on fire. The flames caught on quickly and burned many trolls.
6. Thanks to April, the people and creatures of Everworld witnessed what for the first time?

Answer: A blood transfusion

Galahad had a nasty cut just below his navel, and he was losing blood quickly. With Christopher, Jalil, and David's help, April used a pen as a hollow needle to transfer her blood to Galahad. Because she had type "O" blood, she was a universal donor. April also told Merlin to use wine to clean his hands.

She explained what germs were to the wise wizard, who helped by sewing Galahad's wound.
7. Which of the following was not true about Galahad?

Answer: He was immortal in Everworld

Although Galahad lived centuries in Everworld, he was not immortal. He spent hundreds of years honoring maidens and slaying dragons. April asked if he had the Holy Grail, but he sadly explained that when he and his men were pulled into Everworld, it was left behind. Galahad was the son of Lancelot and was said to be the perfect knight.
8. Galahad fought against Loki and his trolls and sustained many wounds. How did he ultimately die?

Answer: He was killed by a dragon

He was on death's door before April gave him so much blood that she passed out. It brought him enough time to make an appearance in the war against Loki and his trolls, thus rallying his troops. However, once the kids escaped from the war, a dragon appeared. He blew his fire breath on Galahad, ending the knight's life.
9. Which of the following did Merlin not do?

Answer: He magically healed Christopher

April and the kids didn't know much about the mysterious Merlin. Senna attempted to cast a small spell on the magician, and she failed miserably. Merlin was a powerful man, and he showcased his strength in the war with Loki and Galahad. He cast a spell to bring the dead back to life momentarily to fight.

The tables that the kids ate at sprung to life to attack the god Loki. Also, Merlin brought up a strong stone wall from the ground to temporarily capture Loki and some of his trolls.
10. What did the kids manage to obtain?

Answer: Sir Galahad's sword

After the dragon killed Galahad, David picked up his mighty sword. He explained that they had no other weapons. April insisted that the noble knight Galahad get a proper burial and had Jalil make him a cross to put on his grave. David promised Galahad that he would try to be worthy of his sword.
