Frogs have a backbone that is rather soft. This backbone has to be soft to handle the frog's constant jumping around that could fracture a hard backbone.
A frog's backbone contains only 9 vertebrae compared to a human's 24 vertebrae.
The function of a frog's skeleton is locomotion and maintaining its posture.
The only real differences with a frog's skeleton and a human's is that one of the functions of a frog's skeleton is not to protect its ribs as frogs do not have any.
Also a frog's skeletal system is only made up of 159 bones compared to a human's 206.

A frog has 4 fingers on its webbed "hands". These "hands" need to be webbed to help the frog to swim away quickly from predators and also allow extra grip on slippery surfaces such as lily pads and slippery trees.
The fingers of a frog are sticky to aid the frog to climb slippery trees more safely.

The frilled lizard (also called the "frilled neck lizard") is substantially larger compared to the other Australian dragon lizards. This lizard is often found in gardens in central Australia. When frightened the frilled lizard opens its mouth and extends its frills in order to scare a potential predator away.
Adult frilled lizards have been known to grow up to 1 metre in lenghth.
This type of lizard is commonly found in the Kimberly region of Western Australia and along most of the top of Australia as well as southern New Guinea.
The main prey that the frilled lizard eats includes small to medium sized arthropods as well as termites, ants, spiders and many other small insects.
The only real predator of the frilled lizard is the Morelia which is a type of non-venomous python that is found in the frilled lizards habitat.

The Thorny Devil is a small prickly lizard that is found only in central Australia. This lizard has been known to consume up to 5000 ants in a sitting.
The Thorny devil grows to around to 20cm in length as is coloured in different shades of brown which are usually very similar to its habitat.
Mating season is September-December and a clutch of usually 3-10 eggs is laid during this time in a burrow underground.
