1. What is Indie's last name?

Answer: Collins

Indie is an eleven-year-old who has a baby sister called Misti. Mum moved them away, because Max (her boyfriend) was hitting her, and she didn't want him to start on the children. The other surnames are Indie's friends'.

2. What is the name of Mum's best friend?

Answer: Jane

Indie often calls Jane because her mum is so ill. Mum's ex-boyfriend, Max, tried to stop Mum seeing Jane, but Indie said Jane is too sensible and determined not to be sidelined.

3. What is the name of Indie's landlady?

Answer: Mrs Green

Indie didn't like Mrs Green when she first arrived at 33, Hartington Drive, but after she helped Indie with her history project on The Victorians, Indie discovered that she was quite nice really!
