"The Ballad of Little Joe" was a retelling of the story of Joseph from Genesis. Just as Moses' story in Exodus is a continuation of Joseph's story, Moe's story is a continuation of Little Joe's story.

2. When Baby Moe is first discovered by the mayor's daughter, what did she first want to name him?

Answer: Nugget

Since the daughter was panning for gold, she thought of Nugget first. However, the baby didn't like it, so when she thought of Moe, he loved it!

Answer: The Lone Stranger

"The Lone Stranger" was supposed to be the name of the episode. However, Big Idea changed it when they thought no one would remember who The Lone Ranger was.

Moe was raised in the mayor's house alongside his three zucchini brothers. Just like Moses was the youngest in the Egyptian household, so was Moe. But just like Moses, Moe's story would also take a dramatic turn!

This was an obvious pun on The Lone Ranger's horse, Silver. Just as Silver is an important part of The Lone Ranger's character, Moe's stick was an important part of his character as well.

6. What is the name of the buffalo Moe rides?

Answer: Zippy

The name was based on Moses' wife Zipporah. Zipporah supported Moses as he went on his mission from God, and Zippy supported Moe on all his adventures.

Moses heard God through a burning bush, but Moe's western twist had a tumbleweed instead. But it still has the same effect of sending Moe on his important mission.

This was originally supposed to be the theme for a 80's sitcom version of the Moses story. Even though the theme was changed to an Old West theme, they loved the song enough to keep it as the Silly Song.

Answer: Infested by frogs

It wasn't frogs, it was actually prairie dogs they were infested with. Although the plagues were "western-ized" for the episode, it still works to show the effects of the plagues on Egypt/Dodge City.

Answer: Death Valley

Since there was no major body of water to parallel the crossing of the Red Sea, they had to cross the incredibly hot Death Valley! However, just like God's people were victorious at the Red Sea, the dramatic end shows the victory of the veggies through God's power!
