Answer: Illinois

Illinois became the 21st state when it entered the union on December 3rd, 1818. At that time, Illinois had a population of 34,620 people. As of early 2008, the current population was almost 12.5 million people, and it is always growing. I wonder what the population will be in another 200 years!
2. Disney World and the Everglades are located here. What state is it?

Answer: Florida

Key West, a city in Florida, has the highest average temperature in the United States. Florida is the southernmost state in the U.S. when you exclude Hawaii. So, it makes sense for the state to typically have very warm temperatures. Amazingly, snow fell in Dade County on January 20, 1977.
3. I am located in the Pacific Ocean and am made up of eight major islands. What state am I?

Answer: Hawaii

Hawaii was formed by volcanoes that erupted many years ago. Some of these volcanoes are still active today. Hawaii has its own time zone due to its unique location. It is called Hawaiian Standard Time. Also, Hawaii does not have daylight savings time, which means that they never adjust the time on their clocks.

Every year the Iditarod Trail Race is held here. This is a famous dog sled race where teams travel across the state from Anchorage to Nome.
