Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Crying Bluebell (German)

Answer: Ultrigaria

Ultrigaria = Weepinbell. Kleinstein = Geodude. Alpollo = Haunter. Sleimok = Muk.
2. Frozen One (French)

Answer: Artikodin

Artikodin = Articuno. Lippoutou = Jynx. Melofee = Clefairy. Ortide = Gloom.
3. Wild Reptile (Japanese)

Answer: Odairu

Odairu = Feraligatr. Chonchii = Chinchou. Upaa = Wooper. Waninoko = Totodile.
4. Typhoon Explosion (Japanese)

Answer: Bakufuun

Bakufuun = Typhlosion. Magumarashi = Quilava. Fiyaa = Moltres. Houou = Ho-oh.
5. Fearsome Bird (German)

Answer: Ibitak

Fooled you with this one, didn't I? I asked for Fearow's name in German, so if you selected 'Fearow', you're WRONG! Rapasdepic is Fearow's French name, so that's wrong as well. Myrapla, however, is Oddish's German name.
6. Sleepy. (French)

Answer: Soporifik

All of these except 'Hypnomade' are other names for Drowzee. Hypnomade is Hypno (duh).
7. What one word is the English name of Hakuryuu derived from?

Answer: Debonair

The Pokemon I'm looking for is Dragonair. Hakuryuu is translated to 'white dragon'. Debonair means handsome and suave. This is the word that the name "Dragonair" was derived from, not from "dragon" and "air".
8. Copy. (Japanese)

Answer: Metamon

Metamon = Ditto. Morphon = Venomoth. Transel = Metapod. Kyukon = Ninetales.
9. Which Pokemon does NOT have the same name in English, German, French, and Japanese?

Answer: Dodrio

Dodrio's German name is Dodri.
10. Goliath Bat. (French)

Answer: Nosferalto

Nosferalto = Golbat. Melodelfe = Clefable. Sabelette = Sandshrew. Dardargnan = Beedril. An easy way to get this right is to remember the first vampire novel ever written, 'Nosferatu'. Golbat is a vampire bat.
