Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What name was given to the Blimp?

Answer: Beulah

After Mo'Steel tied bits of Remnant clothing together, he fixed one end to his wrist and another to a Rider boomerang. He was able to use this tool to attach himself to a passing Blimp and hitch a ride, after some trying. As usual, Mo'Steel was exhilarated by the ride he received.
2. Who named the Blimp?

Answer: Mo' Steel

Just like he coined the term "Blue Meanie," Mo'Steel named the Blimp "Beulah". The entire Remnant group rode this Blimp until it became extremely exhausted and they were forced to hide in its gassy insides. This was when Billy finally woke up and was able to control the Blimp for the others.
3. Which of the following was not mentioned in the story?

Answer: Washington Monument

"The Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer" was created by Degas, and it was once again Violet who named and admired the work of art. She also pointed out that Mother, the ship, was now using sculptures as well as paintings. The Remnants took a rest on the immensely huge "David", originally by Michaelangelo.

The group also took a ride on the USS Constitution, even through an alien battle and a horrible thunderstorm. The Thinker was also seen in the ocean with the others.
4. Which Remnant offered to cook for the others?

Answer: Shy Hwang

The group found coffee beans and beef on the ship they took over. Hwang claimed to be able to cook and attempted to make stew with the meat they found. He didn't know how to do anything to help the others maintain the boat, but he admitted reading C.S Forester and Patrick O'Brien.
5. Jobs asked Olga and others to fetch him vital components to make some weapons for the battle with the aliens. What were they?

Answer: Cartridges, any tools they could find, and cannonballs

The cartridges were filled with gunpowder and looked like rolled-up sleeping tents. Jobs instructed Olga to keep the powder dry. Anamull was the one to find the cannonballs. With every piece painstakingly put together, Jobs was able to use the ship's cannon to fire at the Squids. He aimed at these Squids instead of the Blue Meanies, hoping to gain some allies.
6. More creatures are introduced in this book. Which of the following is not new to the story?

Answer: Shippers

The blood-sucking eels infested the waters of the Riders' home world. They continuously attached themselves to the Remnants with their round mouths. The Blimps were huge, pinkish, gassy creatures that bounded through the sea and gave the Remnants a ride throughout the Rider world.

The Squids sound exactly like their name. These were seen fighting against the Blue Meanies around a large statue.
7. Late in the story, the Remnants made a dire decision. What was it?

Answer: They shot their cannons at a statue

The statue was taller and looked more ancient that any other in the water. It apparently meant much to the Blue Meanies. The Remnants made the mistake of hitting it not once, but twice. Evidently, the Meanies had been defending the statue from the opposing Squids. The aliens stopped shooting at the Squids and took aim at the Remnants. This led to the death of Shy Hwang, who was decimated by the flechettes.
8. Two Remnants died in this story. Who were they?

Answer: Shy Hwang and Wylson

Shy Hwang was killed immediately by the Blue Meanies. 2Face, his daughter, couldn't help but scream uncontrollably. Shy was depressed the entire time he was awake because he had already lost his wife. Wylson Lefwokitz-Blake was swept overboard by the immense thunderstorm that brought huge waves.

She drowned in the water and was sucked in through the bottom of the ocean floor, along with Mo' Steel and Billy.
9. From which alien perspective did we get a chapter?

Answer: Riders

The chapter described the Riders observing the Remnants walking/swimming through the eel-infested waters. Riders have fighting partners and each has their own hoverboard. The boards are loyal and will always remain with them until they die. The Riders also routinely die and gain wisdom by each death.

The pain gets worse with each death until they became Sanctified Ancestors. The chapter was observed through a Rider named Chirismontak Hadad-Chirismon, Warrior of the Vanascom Clan, Acolyte of the Unseen Star God.
10. Who was called "Unhuman?"

Answer: Tamara and the baby

Unhuman was the term the Riders use for Tamara and her baby. They were also called the human-not-human. The Riders call them this because they have defeated almost every single Rider that have challenged them to a fight. Interestingly enough, they also realized that Tamara was drawing all of her power from the baby.
