Answer: Lantern Waste

Lantern Waste, in northwestern Narnia, was a notable location in three books: "The Magician's Nephew", "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", and "The Last Battle".

In "The Magician's Nephew", Lantern Waste was where Digory, Polly, and company stood as they watched Aslan create Narnia. At this time, the lantern, which the area is named after, came to be. Jadis, or the White Witch, had brought a broken off piece of a lamppost from London. After she failed to hit Aslan with it, it landed in the grass where it grow into a lamppost. This was able to happen because of Narnia's young, fertile earth.

In "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", Lantern Waste was where the wardrobe in the Professor's spare room connected to Narnia.

In "The Last Battle", it was the site of Narnia's last battle, where King Tirian led Narnia against Shift the ape and the Calormenes.

Once the spot of Mr. and Mrs. Beaver's home in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", Beaversdam was located on a river in northwestern Narnia. By the time of King Miraz's tyranny in "Prince Caspian" a castle had been built there along with a town. It was located just to the east of Lantern Waste.

Ettinsmoor, part of the Wild Lands of the North, was located to the north of Narnia on the other side of the River Shribble. It was a very rocky area. A deep gorge there held many uncivilized giants.

Tashbaan was featured in "The Horse and His Boy" when Shasta, Bree, Aravis, and Hwin passed through the large and crowded city on their way to Narnia. Tashbaan was named after the Calormene's god, Tash. It was located on an island in the delta of a river. There were many gardens and palaces within the city's walls.

Calormen was a mostly arid country south of Archenland ruled by the Tisroc. It was often not on good terms with Archenland and Narnia.
