Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Techo Says" was the first game brought to the graveyard. How many difficulties/rounds were there in the game?

Answer: Ten

In this basic game, you would need to memorize the order that six Neopets would appear in. Once they finished their sequence, you would need to click the Neopets in the correct order to continue (before time runs out, of course). If you guess one incorrectly, you'd lose.

The Neopets involved included Blumaroo, Chia, Moehog, Mynci, Kacheek, Quiggle, and of course, the Techo. This game was removed from the games list back in Year 5.
2. Who was the hero of "Ice Caves" and "Faerie Caves"?

Answer: Garon

Both "Ice Caves" and "Faerie Caves" were quite in depth games. Both starred Garon the Lupe as he navigated caves searching for treasure and such. "Ice Caves" was located in Terror Mountain, and "Faerie Caves" was appropriately located outside Faerieland until they were placed into their plots in the Game Graveyard in Year 5.

In each level of the game, you would need to avoid many dangers and arrive at a doorway with the correct key to advance. Every life taken and every restart took points away.
3. What is not one of the playable characters in the original "Faerie Cloud Racers"?

Answer: Snow Faerie

In three difficulties, you can play as one of eight characters in order to defeat your opponents. In this game, you really don't need to race anyone. Instead, you'll need to trap characters. When you move, you'll make a trail behind you that acts as a wall. If you or your opponent hits the wall or the perimeter, the next round begins (and only the winner moves on).

This game was replaced by a newer version of "Faerie Cloud Racers" in year 7.
4. In which game could you win a secret avatar (before it was taken to the Game Graveyard)?

Answer: Mutant Graveyard of DOOM

The "Mutant Graveyard of DOOM" game was sent off to the graveyard only a few months after the avatar was released in year 6. When TNT (The Neopets Team) decided not to retire the avatar, they made it so that you could earn it from the Game Graveyard page. Simply refresh the page until you get it.

Other games that previously featured avatars were "Chia Bomber I" and "Jelly Processing Plant".
5. Are there any high score tables in the Game Graveyard?

Answer: No

There are none because the games have been 'retired'. This also means that players can not submit scores and get trophies or Neopoints. Players with trophies in these games are very lucky since none are being released anymore, and their rarity is higher. You can still earn Neopoints, high scores, avatars, and trophies in the other games on the site.
6. Before it was sent off to the Game Graveyard, in what region of Neopia could one find "Code Breakers"?

Answer: Virtupets Space Station

In "Code Breakers", you would have to find the correct combination of four codestones in order to get points and advance to the next stage. As you progressed through, you would need to work with more coloured codestones and the combinations would get trickier. You could get 100 points simply by beating the first five puzzles in less than five minutes and 100 points for getting the combo right on your first time.

This game was sent to the graveyard in year 7, but soon after, the "Time Tunnel" game (with the same basic concept) was released on Kreludor.
7. How many games were sent to the graveyard in year six?

Answer: Three

"Mutant Graveyard of DOOM", "Destruct-O-Match I", and "Chomby and the Fungus Balls" were all sent to the graveyard over year six. Although "Destruct-O-Match I" was an extremely popular game, it was taken off the games list to make room for the updated "Destruct-O-Match II" (which also has its own avatar).

In the following year, year seven, ten games were sent, kicking and screaming, to the Game Graveyard.
8. Which game did not have a sequel released on the same day that it was sent to the graveyard?

Answer: Earth Faerie Aces

"Meerca Chase" is perhaps one of the most popular games on the site. It resembles the game 'Snake', and with the sequel, you can play in odd freestyle, classic, and maze modes. "Chia Bomber" and "Faerie Cloud Racers" were also popular games, but they were drastically updated in their newer versions. "Earth Faerie Aces" was a complicated game sent to its demise in year four.

It resembles the Kreludan game "Kreludan Mining Corporation".
9. What is not an item found in the shop in "Evil Fuzzles From Beyond the Stars"?

Answer: Homing Bomb

"Evil Fuzzles From Beyond the Stars" was removed in year seven and was closely followed by a better sequel. In the shops, not only could one buy the Side Radar, Shields and the Repair Droid, but they could also buy stronger MegaGuns, Stun Bombs, Hull Repairs, and Smart Bombs (which will clear the screen of Evil Fuzzles). All of these items cost VirtuCreds which could be earned by defeating Evil Fuzzles and collecting bonuses.

As you progressed from level to level, you would fight more difficult Fuzzles, so you'd need the MegaGun to chip away at their health.
10. What is not a bonus in the game "Swarm"?

Answer: Destroy Towers

I would think that you'd want the towers in this game... :P
"Swarm", which was sent to the tomb in year seven was about a Wocky preventing some ugly spider-like enemies from passing a blockade in the Lost Desert. Using a tank, you are able to shoot the enemies and get bonuses and points. This game is a lot like "Space Invaders", and it was followed by "Swarm - The Bugs Strike Back" when it was inducted into the graveyard.
