Answer: Whoever is touching the person that touches the ring, also comes with them to the Wood between the Worlds

The Queen is holding on to Polly's hair; this is why she comes with them to the Wood between the Worlds. The Queen becomes really out of breath when she's not in her own world.

Answer: A horse

This was a horse that was meant to pull a cab. The cab was still attached when the Queen arrived and it crashed into Digory's front porch.

The owner of this horse has a big role later in the book.
