Clough first became a manager of Hartlepool United in 1965, alongside his long time assistant Peter Taylor. The pair then moved on to Derby County, leading them to the old English First Division title in 1971-72 football season. After a short stint at Brighton and Hove Albion football team, Clough joined Leeds United as manager. However conflict between Clough and a number of player led to Clough being sacked. 10. This image shows a model of HMS Victory - Admiral Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar. How many acres of woodland would have been felled though to make HMS Victory?

Answer: 100

To build a warship like HMS Victory, would require felling 100 acres of woodland. However, it was not just simply a case of cutting down any tree, but often specific shaped trees were fell to make certain beams and keel parts.

The reason behind this was that it would be easier not only to shape a particular piece of timber that had been cut form a tree but also, it gave the piece more strength. Since until the advent of the first armoured warship, this meant large areas of woodland - mainly oak - had to be felled in order to build up a fleet of ships.

Vice Admiral Cuthbert Collinwood (whom fought alongside Lord Nelson in a number of battles) recognised this fact, and when on shore leave Collingwood would often plant acorns when out walking on his country estate in Northumberland. This is because Collingwood recognised the need for oak to build ships for the Royal Navy and knew that large numbers of trees needed to be felled to make a warship.
