Tom Kite was born in 1949 in McKinney, TX. Tom did finish as runner up to Tiger in 1997. He also finished as runner up in 1983 and 1986.
2. What 1945 war film tells the story of war correspondent Ernie Pyle?

Answer: The Story of G.I. Joe

Burgess Meredith stars as Ernie Pyle in the 1945 film directed by William Wellman. Pyle joins the Company C, 18th Infantry as it makes its way through North Africa. The real Ernie Pyle was killed by a sniper in April of 1945 near Okinawa during the making of the film.
