One of W.C. Fields earliest films is entitled, "The Pool Shark." Fields was not only a skilled pool player and juggler, he was also a professional drowner. He would wade out into the ocean and pretend to drown and while he was being revived, someone else would sell snacks to the crowd who had gathered to watch.
