"Red Sails in the Sunset" is a song whose music was written by Hugh Williams, also known as Wilhelm Gorsz. Jimmy Kennedy wrote the lyrics which were inspired by the "Kitty of Coleraine", a yacht that had red sails.

Early versions of this 1935 song were recorded by Al Bowlly, and also by Guy Lombardo. Mr. Nat King Cole recorded the song in 1951. Cole's release peaked at number twenty-four on the Billboard Best Seller chart in 1951. Many artists recorded the song, and some of those are The Platters in 1960, Paul Anka in 1958 and Engelbert Humperdinck in 2000.

Red Rum's sire was Quorum and his dam was Mared. His name came through the combination of the last three letters of each of those names. Red Rum's 1973 Grand National win beat out Crisp by three-quarters of a length. The race is often referred to as one of the greatest in history. Red Rum was thirty lengths behind Crisp, and at the last fence he was still fifteen lengths behind. On the last stretch and a mere two strides from the finish, Red Rum overtook Crisp.
10. When was the last time the Boston Red Sox won the World Series prior to their 2004 victory?

The Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 1918. In 1919, the Red Sox sold pitcher Babe Ruth, nicknamed "The Bambino", to the New York Yankees. The inability of the Red Sox to win a title after that was referred to as the "curse of the Bambino". Finally, in 2004, the "curse" ended and the Red Sox won the World Series. Through the years from 1903 to 2013, the Boston Red Sox had won the World Series eight times.
