Lewis Carroll was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He wrote not only the above two novels but also a few poems which include: "Jabberwocky" and "The Hunting of the Snark." He wrote "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" for a little girl named Alice Liddell after spending a day with her and her two sisters on boat trip on the Thames River.
