Xenon was discovered by Sir William Ramsey and Morris M Travers. Its natural state is a gas. Its atomic number is 54. Morris M Travers was also an authority on glass technology.

Answer: Xavier

The name Xavier appears because cabbage Patch dolls were created by Xavier Roberts in the 1980s.
3. Which is a monetary unit in Vietnam?

Gao Xingjian won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2000. He wrote the book "The Other Shore" which was banned in China. This caused him to move to France,as a political refugee, where he later became a citizen.

Xanthophobia is fear of the color yellow. Xenophobia is fear of strangers and xyrophobia is fear of razors.
7. What did William D. Coolidge invent?

Answer: X-Ray tube

The X-Ray tube is more commonly known as the Coolidge Tube. Coolidge was born in 1873 and died in 1965. He did most of his work with General Electric. He retired after WWII but continued to be a consultant until 1965.
8. What character did Lucy Lawless play on TV that was from a spin-off of Hercules: The Legend Continues?

Answer: Xena

Lucy Lawless was born on March 29, 1968 in Mount Albert, New Zealand.
9. Which of the following words has nothing to do with plants?

Answer: xyst

Xyst (or xystus) is a roofed area where athletes trained in ancient Greece. Xenia (as well as Xenial) is the effect of pollen on certain plant structures. Xylan is substance found in cell walls of plants.
10. Which of the following words is a type of vessel?

Answer: xebec
