A tributary of the Clarence River, it runs through the northern rivers region of NSW.
2. Which river runs through Alice Springs?

Answer: Todd

The Todd River is dry for the majority of the year but runs through the town of Alice Springs where they have the famous Henley-on-Todd Regatta where competitors row their boats with foot power.
3. Which river runs through the north western NSW town of Narrabri?

Answer: Namoi

Nothing much intersting about Narrabri.
4. Which one of these towns does the Lachlan River NOT meander through?

Answer: Parkes

The Lachlan runs through Cowra, then the Wyangla Dam before moving on to Forbes and Condobolin before flowing into the Darling.

Albury-Wodonga has a population of about 90,000. Adelaide which is larger is not on the Murray River, but the Torrens River.

The Tamar river is Australia's longest navigable tidal estuary.

Answer: Murrumbidgee

The mighty Murrumbidgee is 1575km long according to AUSLIG (Geoscience Australia), and runs through the outskirts of Canberra, west to the thriving metropolis of Wagga Wagga (Pop ~60,000), then through Narrandera, Darlington Point and Hay before flowing into the Murray between Balranald and Robinvale.
10. Name the major tributary of the Swan River which flows into the Swan, nearest to its mouth?

Answer: Canning

The Canning River meets the Swan around 12km from where it empties into Fremantle harbour and the Indian Ocean.
