Answer: Colorado

The western side of Idaho borders both Oregon and Washington. The right side of Idaho borders Montana and Wyoming. Idaho also borders Utah and Nevada to the south. Colorado is fairly close, but it does not border Idaho.
2. Which state was originally going to be named Idaho?

According to www.wikipedia.org, George M. Willing suggested Idaho as the original name of Colorado. He claimed it meant "gem of the mountains." It soon came out that he had made up the name himself and the original Idaho territory was instead named Colorado.

The Columbia River goes through Washington and gets fairly close to the border, but it never passes into Idaho.

Chipmunk Rapids Trail is in the town of Priest Lake which is located in the northern part of Idaho. All of the other attractions are located in Boise which is in the southern part of Idaho.
