Answer: Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island is a 20 minute ferry ride off the coast of WA. It's a popular holiday spot with tourists. Rottnest is known for its beautiful beaches and furry little marsupials called quokkas.

Answer: December 26

Each Boxing Day this 630 nautical mile race takes place and has been carried on for over 50 years

Answer: true

The fence was built to protect livestock from the dingos. It is about two metres high and goes 30cm underground. It is also known as the 'Dog Fence' at the South Australian end. Don't be confused with the 'Rabbit Proof Fence' which runs in a north-south direction in Western Australia.
4. In which state would you find the Glasshouse Mountains?

Answer: Queensland

These mountains were named by Captain Cook in 1770.
5. Which highway takes you from Western Australia to South Australia?

Answer: Eyre Highway

The Eyre Highway travels over the Nullabor Plain, an isolated stretch of land which also happens to be the largest limestone block in the world.

Answer: William Gosse

Gosse sighted Uluru in 1873 and called it Ayers Rock after the South Australian premier of the time, Sir Henry Ayers. The name was changed in 1995 to acknowledge to ownership of the land in the area by the local Anangu people.

Australia has an abundance of wildflowers. Sturt's Desert Pea flowers in Spring and is found in dry inland areas.

I don't know why it's their symbol but I guess its because there is a lot of them there. The symbol is the Red Kangaroo as opposed to the Grey one.

Answer: Gulf of Carpentaria

10. Where would you find the Hamersley Range?

Answer: Western Australia

The Hamersley Ranges are the oldest in Australia and date back 3500 million years. They are in the Pilbara region of WA.
