Answer: Wyoming

Wyoming is known as "The Equality State". The Wyoming Territory had extended the vote to women in 1869. Wyoming was then admitted into the union in 1890, becoming the first state with women's suffrage.

Answer: Massachusetts

Dr. Naismith invented basketball in 1891 while working at a Mass. YMCA. Basketball is the most widely played American sport.
4. Who was the first human being to walk on the moon?

Answer: Neil Armstrong

The Apollo 11 crew first set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.
5. Where - by common consent - were the first shots in the U.S. Civil War fired?

Answer: Ft. Sumter

The first shot was fired on April 12, 1861. Ft. Sumter is located in South Carolina. South Carolina was the first state to secede.
