Model was only put in charge of the 9th Army of HG Mitte after Field Marshal Fedor von Bock asked to be relieved of command, and when von Kluge took over his job after which Model got command of the 9th.

The 6th and 11th belonged to AG South and the 16th to AG North. Of the Armies mentioned above, only the 4th belonged to AG Centre.
3. Father of the Panzerwaffe Heinz Guderian was in command of which Panzergruppe?

Answer: 2nd Panzergruppe

Guderian's XIXth motorised army corps headquarters was upgraded to 2nd Panzergroup after the French Campaign. After the battle of Kiev, it was renamed 2nd Panzer Army. Guderian was relieved of his command after an argument with Hitler in December 1941.
