The success of these stuffed toys was impressive considering they were just tiny plush bean bag animals, In 1997 McDonald's helped with their success by putting Teanie Beanie Babies in their Happy Meals. Cabbage Patch Kids took the world by storm in December, 1983 while creating riots in stores from people trying to obtain them. Furbies introduced the age of electronic dolls in 1997. Polly Pockets were little one inch dolls that came onto the scene in 1989.

Rainbow Brite was franchised by Hallmark cards while Strawberry Shortcake was used on American Greeting cards. Both later became real dolls as well as part of a television cartoon series.

Mouse Trap(1963) is also a board game in which a mouse trap is built using several different devices and each player's mouse moves around the board until someone activates the trap by turning a crank and a marble rolls through a kind of maze thus activating the different parts until a basket falls down and traps the mouse.

In spite of its name "Chinese Checkers"(1892) is neither a variation of checkers nor was it invented in China. The board game uses marbles moved across a hexagon shaped board. The object is to move your ten marbles from your triangle over to the opposite corner players triangle.
