Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following statements about stock cards are false?

Answer: There is a stock card with a value of 10.

Stock cards only range from one to nine. If you buy a stock card for $50,000 and then land on Stock Market Zooms, you can obtain a second stock card. There are also spaces with Stock Market Slumps on them. In this case, you must give back one stock card.
2. What color spaces appears on the board the fewest amount of times?

Answer: red

There are only three red spaces: Job Search (available only if you take the College route), Get Married, and Buy a House. When you lands on a red space, you must stop and do what the instructions say. Green and blue spaces appear infrequently but still more frequently than red spaces. Orange spaces take up the majority of the spaces.
3. Is it possible for a person to go from Start College to Buy a House in one turn?

Answer: Yes

It is not likely, but it is possible. The first person must roll a 10. The second person rolls a 10; however, since two cars cannot occupy the same space, the second car moves ahead one space to Job Search. Since it is a red space, that player will go again and must spin a 10. The third person must spin three 10s in a row and will land one space short of Buy a House. The fourth person must roll four 10s, thereby landing on Buy a House.
Incidentally, if this process continues, the sixth and final player will land on the spot before the first path diverges!
4. You only have the option of going to Millionaire Estates if that player ends the game with at least $1,000,000.

Answer: False

Any player has the decision of whether to go to Millionaire Estates or Countryside Acres. Often, players with a lot of money go to Millionaire Estates and players with not a lot of money go to Countryside Acres. However, there is no requirement that must be fulfilled prior to choosing Millionaire Estates.
5. If you begin the game on the career path rather than the college path, which career can you have?

Answer: Artist

There are three career cards that require a degree: Accountant, Teacher, and Doctor. To obtain one of these cards, you must take the college path. If you do not take the college path and draw one of these cards, then you must draw again.
6. Which of the following spaces is after the other three?

Answer: Visit the Grand Canyon

Visit the Grand Canyon is right before the final bridge. Flat Tire is right before Get Married. Get Fired is two spaces after Buy a House. Vote is two spaces after the first divergence converges.
7. Which of the following costs $5,000?

Answer: money collected for speeding

Buying a stock card costs $50,000. Automobile Insurance costs $10,000. House Insurance ranges depending on how expensive the house is. However, a police officer costs $5,000 if a player is speeding, which is done by spinning a 10.
8. What is a green space?

Answer: a payday space

Whenever a player lands or passes by a green space, the player gets paid the amount of their salary. If you pass the space and land on "Change salary cards with any player" and decide to do it, you get paid your original salary before you change salary cards.
9. How many Stock Market Zoom spaces are there?

Answer: 1

There is only one spot: the first space on the second bridge. The second bridge is located after the first divergence.
10. Which of the following routes have the shortest number of spaces?

Answer: Career

Career only has three unique spaces while College has eleven unique spaces. Career does have less penalty spaces but you only draw one Career and one Salary card as opposed to three. There are also some careers you cannot have if you take the Career route.
