Answer: Iris

The Greek goddess Iris governed the rainbow. Her name is now bestowed upon a brightly and variously colored flower.

Answer: Boreas

Boreas was the Greek god of the north wind and of winter. He fathered two sons, Calais and Zethes, and two daughters, Khione and Cleopatra.

Answer: Ares

Phobos is the personification of fear in Greek mythology. Deimos is the Greek god of panic. They were the children of Ares and Aphrodite.

Gaea had children with Tartarus called the giants. As their name suggests, they were quite giant in size. Each of them was born to fight a god, and Damasen was born to fight Ares.

Answer: Aphrodite

According to Hesiod, Aphrodite was created from the blood of the sky god Ouranos. His blood fell into the sea creating a foam from which Aphrodite was created. Homer stated that she was the daughter of Zeus. (These two stories may in fact refer to two totally independent deities of the same name, as suggested by Plato.) She was the wife of Hephaestus but she loved the war god Ares.

There is famous painting by Botticelli called "The Birth of Venus" which shows the Roman equivalent of Aphrodite, Venus, standing on a clamshell.
9. Orethra, the first queen of the Amazons, was killed by which son of Poseidon?

Answer: Bellerophon

Bellerophon was the son of Poseidon and the mortal Euryale from Corinth. He is best known for killing Chimera.
10. Who was the wife of Perseus?

Answer: Andromeda

Andromeda is the daughter of the Aethiopian king Cepheus and Cassiopheia. She married Perseus who saved her from the sea monster Cetus.
