Lord Savage asks Utterson, "If Jekyll's as clever as you say he is, what's he doing trying to save paupers and mad men? Of what possible use is that? I've lived in St. James for 60 years, and I've never even seen a pauper, let alone a mad man."

Simon approached Emma at her engagement party and sings to her, "It's time to awaken before it's too late. Before you forever determine your fate." She refuses him, because she's in love with Henry Jekyll now. She sings, "I'm complete. In Henry's eyes I see what I am meant to be."

After Jekyll arrives to his own engagement party late, he asks Emma if she is angry with him. She tells him, "I'm just happy you're here." He responds, "Well, I try never to miss any social occasion attended by Lady Beaconsfield. Tell me, is there a Lord Beaconsfield?" Emma informs him, "He died 30 years ago." His answer is, "Sensible fellow!"

John Utterson takes Jekyll and two others to the Red Tar and Guinevere, the manageress, recognizes John from previous visits and says "Mr. Utterson, is it not?" Jekyll, surprised, says "Mr. Utterson? Why, John!" Neither Sir Danvers Carew nor Emma Carew were ever at the Red Rat.

Lucy arrives at the Red Rat late and one of her friends says "I suppose you've been up in Hyde Park again listening to all them speeches?" Lucy responds with, "And what's wrong with that? I like to listen. I just want to learn." To which Guinevere responds, "All you need to learn is to be on time!"

Answer: Good is evil and therefore all evil is good.

The lyric is: "My philosophy, any child can see, good is evil and therefore all evil is good!" All of these are lyrics from the song "Good N Evil", though.

Emma tells her father that the expirement is the most valuable thing in Jekyll's life. Sir Danvers replies, "Yes, after you!" and she says, "No, before me. Now, I understand that." Emma never knew about Lucy.

Poole enters and says "A young lady to see you sir." Jekyll repiles, "Send her away Poole." But then Poole tells him that it was no doubt she found his card "dropped on the street somewhere." Jekyll then says "My card? I will see her."

All of these adjectives are used in the song, but only friendliness and gentleness are used to describe Jekyll's face.

Answer: He calls her a lady and treats her like one

After he treats her injury, she tells him that she feels "like a lady." He then turns to her and says "You are a lady. A most extraordinary lady." Then she sings "I am in love with the things that I see in his face." Lucy didn't know Emma existed, let alone that Jekyll was engaged to her.

As a thanks for his helping her, Lucy kisses Jekyll's hand. He then leans down and they kiss out of passion.

Hyde finds Proops, Lady Beaconsfield, and Lord Savage together, addressing them as Faith, Hope, and Charity. Lord Savage recognizes Hyde from when he saw him kill General Glossop, and tries to save Lady Beaconsfield, but Hyde interrupts, saying "Sweet how you hypocrites hang together." Then Proops steps up to him and says "Step aside, you....creature."

As Hyde strangles Lady Beaconsfield with her own diamond necklace, she yells out "Please!" and he says, "Please? That's a hard word for you to pronounce, isn't it, M'Lady? Probably the first time you've ever used it."

Sir Danvers asks Lord Savage if he is traveling and Savage responds, "No, escaping!" Emma asks him where he is going and at first he won't tell them, but eventually does. As they are leaving, Hyde kills Savage.

Jekyll comes into his laboratory and finds Emma reading his journal. He asks her how she got in and she answers, "Poole let me in. The laboratory door was unlocked."

Jekyll leaves everything to Hyde.

Lucy and Emma sing their duet "In His Eyes" about the man they both love, even though they don't know that the other exists. The lyric is: "Love is worth forgiving for. Now I realize, everything worth living for is there in his eyes."

Hyde tells Lucy, "I have some rather sad news, Lucy. I must go away for a while. A friend and I have a little...dispute to settle." Though the Spider didn't want to kill her at this point, he had threatened her life in an earlier scene.
