Answer: Brevity

"Brevity is the soul of wit" Polonius comments on the importance of getting to the point but in fact he himself likes to talk for the sake of talking. Thus, brevity refers to briefness.

Ooo I'm sorry. That was a tough one. The answer was rather an uncommon word, although I have run across it in a book I was reading for grade twelve english class. An amanuensis is one who is hired to copy a manuscript or take dictation.

Bedlamite: "a mentally ill person".
A student is what I was in grade 12! (And all other years of schooling!)
