Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "The chill she brings to every room, the lethal stench of French perfume."

Answer: Morticia

Gomez (Nathan Lane) sings this song with the male ancestors after Morticia (Bebe Neuwirth) refuses his tango request. Morticia was already mad at Gomez because she knew he was keeping a secret from her (that Wednesday (Krysta Rodriguez)wants to marry Lucas Beineke (Wesley Taylor)) in spite of their promises to never keep secrets. Morticia is further upset when she hears Wednesday call her old.
2. "I wanna treasure you in death as well as life. I wanna cut you with my love and with my knife."

Answer: Crazier than You

Wednesday and Lucas sing this song in the second act. Both begin to feel that they are not suited for each other. Wednesday is afraid Lucas is too normal, while Lucas thinks his family is too abnormal for the Addamses. Lucas puts a challenge to Wednesday in a trust exercise. He lets her shoot an apple off his head to prove that he trusts her and wants to be with her.
3. "I don't have a sunny disposition. I'm not known for being too amused."

Answer: Pulled

Wednesday sings this song when she is torturing Pugsley (Adam Riegler). In the song, she describes the effect her love for Lucas is having on her. Wednesday is normally gloomy and morbid, but Lucas makes her feel warm and happy, feelings she is unfamiliar with.
4. "Face your darkest demons. Find your weakest bone. Lose your inhibitions. Love what once was vile."

Answer: Move Toward the Darkness

Lurch (Zachary James) sings these lyrics after he said nothing (just made groans and grunts) during the rest of the show. Everyone takes part in some part of this song, which is the final number and is sung after everyone's problems have been resolved for the better.
5. "So give us shadows and give us gloom. Broken glass in a motel room."

Answer: When You're an Addams

This is the first major song of the production. All members of the Addams Family (including Lurch, who groans, and the ancestors) take part and sing in this number. It is essentially an introduction into the lives of the Addamses and what kind of people they are.

The song is sung in the family graveyard. During the middle of the song, the ancestors are summoned and raised from the dead.
6. "Here, in this sweet libation, salvation resides. Feel the sweet sensation."

Answer: Full Disclosure

This song is sung during the dinner party when everyone plays the game Full Disclosure. The game involves drinking from a chalice and then confessing a secret you never told anyone. Gomez tries to weasel out of making a confession. Uncle Fester (Kevin Chamberlain) confesses his love for the moon and Granny (Jackie Hoffman) confesses that she feels useless because of her age but hopes to pass her wisdom on to her grandchildren.

This scene is the final one of the first act. At the end of the song, Mrs. Beineke (Carolee Carmello) accidentally drinks the acrimonium Pugsley meant for Wednesday and confesses that she is upset that her husband (Terrence Mann) is not romantic anymore. Acrimonium is a potion Granny concocted that exposes a person's darker side.
7. "Was Napoleon right for Josephine? Was nausea right for Dramamine?"

Answer: One Normal Night

Those words are sung by Fester to the ancestors when they claim Lucas is not right for Wednesday. The line "Were you folks right for the mezzanine?" is often replaced in different productions, especially off Broadway, to reflect something current. One popular example is "Is Donald Trump right for the presidency?", to which the ancestors typically groan except for one who gets overly excited.

This song is sung by every character (except for Lurch). This includes the Addams Family, the Beinekes and the ancestors. The song is divided into sections with spoken dialogue in between. Wednesday is trying to convince her family to be normal to impress the Beinekes, while Lucas tries to convince his parents to be normal as he does not believe their Midwest attitude will jive with the Addamses' eccentricities.
8. "It's a dream come true when the moon says 'I love you'."

Answer: The Moon and Me

Uncle Fester sings this song after the disastrous dinner. It is a love song he sings to the moon while he and the ancestors are outside moon bathing. This occurs at the beginning of the second act. At the end of the second act, Fester rockets himself to the moon.
9. "I was changed by something sort of fishy. For at once as I hugged a thousand cups of suction."

Answer: In the Arms

Lucas' parents, Mal and Alice sing this song. It is during this song that Mal professes his newfound love for his wife after he was kidnapped by Bernice, the Addamses' pet squid.
10. "Somewhere in between guilt and guillotine, we forgot to notice our daughter lost her way."

Answer: Where Did We Go Wrong

Gomez and Morticia sing this song when they begin to worry Wednesday is losing her darker mood in exchange for become more "normal" by inviting Lucas and his family over for dinner. They then discuss canceling the dinner to prevent Wednesday from changing further, but Wednesday convinces Gomez to have the dinner anyway.
