Answer: Finwe and Indis

Fingolfin's father was Finwe, the King of Noldor. He was married twice. His first wife was Miriel and their son was Curufinwe (Feanor), the greatest of the Noldor. Fingolfin's mother was his second wife, Indis. She was a Vanyar Elf, agnate of Ingwe, the High King of all the Elves. Finwe and Indis, other than Fingolfin, had another son named Finarfin.
2. How many brothers (siblings or half-brothers) did Fingolfin have?

Answer: Two

Fingolfin had two brothers, Feanor and Finarfin. Feanor's mother was Miriel, Finwe's first wife, so he was Fingolfin's half-brother. Finarfin's mother was Indis, Finwe's second wife and Fingolfin's mother as well.
3. How did Fingolfin reach the Middle-earth?

Answer: From Helcaraxe

Fingolfin followed Feanor, his half-brother, to the journey to Middle-earth. But Feanor betrayed him, took the Teleri's ships and passed the Sea. Fingolfin passed Helcaraxe in order to come to Middle-earth.

Answer: Thorondor

When Morgoth killed Fingolfin at Dagor Bragollach, he took the body and gave it to his wargs to eat it. Thorondor, the King of the Eagles, came from Crissaegrim, scratched Morgoth's face, took the body and placed it on a mountain. Later, Turgon came and buried it.
