Answer: Three

Robinton began to compose simple songs to help his friend Lexey learn. Lexey couldn't remember one of the essential Teaching Ballads and Robinton revised it with a simpler tune.

2. Petiron's problem with his son was what?

Answer: When he wasn't ignoring him, he was criticising

Petiron criticised his son most of the time and when there was nothing to criticise he would ignore him completely. And why did nobody come out and tell him his son was making music?
It's sad.

3. Robinton was made journeyman a year earlier than he was "supposed" to.

Answer: True

Robinton was only a third-year apprentice when he was made journeyman at fifteen.

4. Robinton's best friend at Benden was whom?

Answer: Falloner

Falloner (later renamed F'lon when he Impressed a bronze dragon) was a rather good musician. He took a class with Mastersinger Merelan (Robinton's mother) because, as he put it, he "wanted to know more than the average Weyrleader."

Five Weyrs of dragons disappeared suddenly in the Interval of Threadfall. Only Benden was left and so it remained until Weyrwoman Lessa brought them all back.
