1. This character is the lone child of Lord and Lady Montague.

Answer: Romeo

Romeo, a name very much associated with Shakespeare, is one of the two central characters.
2. This character is hot-blooded and quick to anger.

Answer: Tybalt

Tybalt is Lord Capulet's nephew, and Juliet's cousin. He kills Mercutio and is then slain by Romeo.
3. Juliet's primary caregiver, she is a coarse yet warm and caring woman.

Answer: The Nurse

The nurse says some pretty vulgar things, but her love for Juliet is constant throughout the play.
4. A relation of the Prince, he is very quick with puns and jokes.

Answer: Mercutio

Mercutio is my own favourite character of the play; he delivers the famous Queen Mab speech. He is killed by Tybalt at the climax of the play.

Answer: Prince Escalus

Escalus is a strict but fair ruler. He banishes Romeo to Mantua instead of killing him when Romeo kills Tybalt.

Answer: Friar Laurence

Friar Laurence, a good and wise man, marries Juliet and Romeo in a secret ceremony. He later gives Juliet a potion that makes her appear dead, for the purposes of preventing her marriage to Paris.

Answer: Count Paris

Paris is mourning Juliet (who isn't really dead) at her tomb when Romeo comes to commit suicide. Paris tries to apprehend him and dies.

The suicides of both Romeo and Juliet bring Lords Capulet and Montague to a lasting peace. Lord Montague plans to honour Juliet with the statue.
